Brilliant Ali, as always, one of the few if not the only youtuber offering excellent value content. How fortunate are these first time traders who follow you. They are certainly on the right track. Great Ali!
Hi Ali, i said it before and i am going to say it again: Awesome channel with awesome content! I am learning a ton. One question: @7:00 you are showing all the trades in a list but and you are also showing the state of your volitility and direction filters. How did you combine this information? Can Multicharts print outputs of an indicator in the trade list OR did you manually put this together?
Thanks Ali, great video! do you know if there's a tool from which we can compare strategies and get a result that would show objectively which strategy is better and why?
there is not a single number to compare strategies, but with several metrics comparison you can make an educated decision. All platforms give many metrics to this, you can start with Return/DD ratio, number of trades, CAGR
hello, please if you allow i have a question: so during the backtest period i test my ideas of filtering, then if im satisfied with the results , i test them on the forward if they work its okay, if not i go back to backtest and change the rules, and do the same pricess again... but its not considering as cheating! Thank you!
You are talking about robustness testing. Its not a single test, instead its a workflow (multiple steps). In Go.StatOasis.com/atm i have a full module out of 5 about robustness.

Multichart has a full development environment, so you can print variable or calculation you want.
great as always!
Thank you Eric 🙏
