I haven't watched the whole interview yet so maybe he says something about meth in it. But as of right not it just says crack+fent.
So what I was going to say was do you see now that it wasn't even the meth doing it to you? It was the lack of sleep/ nutrition that causes all the nonsense. Not saying meth is good. It's horrible. I've been free from it for almost 7 years. Been free from crack just over s year. And fentanyl about 75 days

Going back and watching the other videos of Josh is eye-opening. This young man doesn't know anything else; how can he know what to aim for if he's never experienced it? He's in a goldfish bowl, and someone's blacked out the glass. This is why 12 Steps gives you a mentor to signpost the way. Good luck to you, young man. I hope you experience something more satisfying and that it changes your mindset. You deserve that at least.

The thing about your statement is. Yes he is someone’s child but he is not a child physically anymore. He is a man and if he as a man doesn’t want to get clean and healthy then it doesn’t matter what his father or mother does. If he wants to go back to the drug abuse and the streets then he will because it’s a choice he is making as a grown man. And for anyone that is gonna come at me and say that addiction isn’t a choice. I will say that they are right, being an addict isn’t a choice but it is a choice to use again after you have been detoxed and clean.

Why do people think that "drug users" aren't intelligent? Is it really just the whole "you gotta be dumb, you're using!" Or is it ego, and such?
Yes of course, there are unintelligent people in the drug scene, but there are dumb crap people in every trade, job, ect. Dr Alexander shulgin self experimented with everything he synthesized. Every phenethylamine, every tryptamine, and others like various plants, chems ect. And he kept his lucid mind pretty well till the end. And there are a lot of people like that. McKenna, Allan Watts, Huckly, and look at the art/music scene as a whole, throughout history. It makes me mad as all get out. I'm "in total" 7years clean. Had 1 major relapse that lasted about a week, and now I'm almost 600days clean from that point. Not even gonna try and glorify what all I have done in regards to "number of drugs". But yeah, I have certifications to run any tow motor(fork lift) up to 10 tons, single/dual overhead cranes, serve safe certification, can run a small foundry with one other man, play several instruments well, built my smithing shop from the ground up.... Loads of people can do many things...
It comes down to want. Drs are at fault for thousands of addiction cases... Man. Have a good day op. 🍻

It is always a pleasure to see an update of people that were previously interviewed ! Even if it is sad to see Josh has relapsed, you can see he was clean for a while, he put on some weight. At least he was out of this lifestyle for a while, but apparently he is a "serial relapser", the sad thing is he seems to be addicted to the lifestyle as much as to the drugs... maybe because he had no better exemple in childhood, and grew up in chaos, so that he cannot even imagine any other type of life. As Mark said, what is the solution to the problem except for a better childhood? Once the child is "broken" it becomes really difficult to fix the adult, though it is absolutely possible but it takes so much energy and ressources that it is daunting, however it seems to me that a lot of people eventually manage to get out of the drugs, often in later life, they eventually manage to figure it out, as they become more mature and maybe become too tired / old for the this lifestyle. However they need to stay alive long enough for that. Wishing Josh all the best, and that he can eventually find his way to the sober, meaningful and beautiful life that he deserves.

  • @fredflintstone8048

I think people who don't have addictions to drugs should still be able to understand addiction if they have any addictions of their own and many people do. It's any obsession with something, could be eating, collecting things, certain behaviors, addiction to watching porn, shopping, spending money, and the addiction doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing.
What they should be able to see in themselves is that they cannot control the impulse to do the thing.
The drug addict gets an emotional connection with the drug, sometimes a physical one as well (alcohol, smoking for example) that will give them physical suffering when they try to stop.
Addictions in general tend to take control of some aspect of the person's life.

I have a friend on the East Coast here that when I saw this pop-up in my feet, I actually thought it was him because genetically the facial structure and the look is almost identical, and then when I played it and heard the voice, it was also the same it’s just a different person’s name and different tattoos. it makes you really wonder about the similarities and predispositions that happen and then you throw in the economical and different family structures and it starts getting really complicated. Anyways, it was just something interesting that I observed, and there could be zero correlation, but this guy is very smart and, there is hope for him as long as he doesn’t give up and he can see the Hope himself. Hope the best for you man. I know this struggle all too well. The horrid thought of going through insane withdrawals from strong opiates is why soo many dont ever get help. I went through full blown withdrawals in county off fent. Worst experience ive had to endure. Was offered no help. I was throwing up all over the cell. Filled up the plastic bin they gave me with vomit. Could barily make it to court. My opiate addiction led me to a downward spiral to rock bottom. Multiple overdoses where i was lucky to even have been found to get narcan. I Had enough. And this is what it takes for most to get clean. I went close to 20 years battling this. I was blessed to get a state bed for detox. I then decided to go to in patient program & also went str8 to a recovery home & then sober living house. Also NA meetings and being able to relate to other addicts for support helped majorly. I have been clean for over 4 years now. I will never have to put a needle in my veins again. This is possible for anybody struggling with addiction. I just had enough.
