    7 Days to Die is a survival horror video game set in a post-apocalyptic world where players must scavenge for resources, build shelters, and defend themselves against hordes of zombies. The game takes place in a randomly generated world and features a day-night cycle, with the zombies becoming more aggressive and difficult to deal with at night.
    Players must also manage their hunger and thirst levels, as well as avoid other environmental hazards such as extreme temperatures and wildlife. The game can be played alone or with others in multiplayer mode. It was developed by The Fun Pimps and released in 2013 for Microsoft Windows and later for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Linux.

    Death by powerslide and death by tree...the zombies can't catch a break! Great job on the base

      Thanks Nathan! Certainly wasn't expecting that tree squish :)

    Would be interesting if the zombies could also get the limbs affected statuses if they fell down, like sprains/broken leg etc to affect their movements and attacks.

      That would be awesome, and bring back a little benefit for drop bases.

      to some degree, they do get a "slow" debuff if you have the cripple 'em mod or a magazine series that effectively lets you cripple, either with shots to the leg or the bleeding debuff; and if you explode off a lower limb you can turn a runner into a crawler. but they have infinite stamina so it doesn't matter to them

    On the ladder, if you jump at the top and fall, you can tap jump again near the bottom.
    You'll grip the ladder again, slow your descent and not take damage. Saves you a couple of seconds.

      That would require coordination and skill, things that I often.... lack 😂

    I did not know you could kill with tree falls so cool.

      I think that's my first one - I've seen it from others, but never managed it myself before :D

    I used this to great success after your video 8 months back, but sadly I didn't stop to check the depth of the tier 4 poi I was squatting near and I was out of bounds when looting up after horde night. I was happy to see that while your bottom couple layers were outside the bounds, your final floor level looks okay. 👍 nice deep basement in 2 bit.

      To be honest, it's something that I didn't notice during the build - I only checked it once the floor was in place and didn't look while doing the dig! Something I'll need to call out!

    0:53 Oh, that's probably why the zombies took apart the building next to me instead of my tower. even when they had a direct path to me

    • @CautiousPancake
      @CautiousPancake  27 днів тому

      Yeah, that can be pathing, or rage mode - the selection of random bits of building when they rage is often strange!

    • @mr_cat91
      @mr_cat91 27 днів тому

      @@CautiousPancake As soon as the blood started, the zombies ran straight into buildings without me touching them in any way, so rage probably wasn't a factor

    in the interest of saving resources, i feel like it would have been acceptable to "cut corners" _literally_ by not placing/upgrading the corners of the pit - unless you plan on using them for structural stability for the above-pit base section later, i think you could have just left the corners empty and it would still be as effective as it would be when they are filled in.

      In hindsight I think you're 100% right - given how much I'm relying on the ground for stability.
