I stumbled onto Doc Martin on PBS. I haven’t seen the whole series, but I really enjoyed it. I remember watching a documentary about the filming of the series. It is a really beautiful area.
The shop used as the Pharmacy in Doc Martin is located down past the harbour, across the narrow road from the pub on the corner with all the tables and chairs outside. The shop does actually have a small sign in the window advertising the fact that it is used as Mrs Tishell's chemist....
Been here a few times, lastly in 2018, that car park that you parked in must be new as it wasn’t there. Parked in a car park round the corner from the school. I found that the path that he walks up to his house always appeared bigger on screen that it did in real life. Thank use most of the village to film the show, and the internal scenes were apparently shot in a barn somewhere not so far away. I’ve been out and stood on the seawall, you get an amazing view from the back towards the village. You had nice weather. Thanks for taking us along with you.
Love Doc Martin and was fortunate to watch them filming back in 2019!The chemist is just across from the fish market! It's a lovely place - shame the pub was closed they do a cracking fish n chips in there! Glad the weather was kind to you! Some good hills there! We too park in that carpark!
My brother-in-law and his family visited from Thailand (my sister in law is Thai) and stayed in Port Isaac for a week as they are such big Doc Martin fans. (Before visiting family of course)
Yip its very steep.we went in 2018 and were surprised the size of the surgery compared to the building beside it.actually enjoyed the walk around the headl
Just came back from Port Isaac on Monday. We stayed at the Old School House! It is a hotel/b and b. The weather was awful apart from Sat, but we enjoyed it.
Hi Bob &Jenny, we went to Port Isaacs a couple of years ago as the family bought us a walking Doc Martin tour, it was amazing thoroughly recommend it, your trip bought back special memories as early this year unfortunately my hubby passed away so thank you for your fabulous day out x
Great video. Brought back memories of when we went in 2019. The chemist is at the bottom of the hill from the Doc's surgery. If you'd carried on walking around the headland, you'd of got back to the car park eventually, avoiding the steep hill. A longer walk but less stress on the calfs
Your video brought back some lovely memories when we visited in 2015 and did exactly the same, standing outside Doc Martin’s House for a cheeky photo. We also visited Mrs Titchell’s Pharmacy which is a gift shop. Port Issac is one of our favourite places in Cornwall and one of our favourite tv programmes too. How lucky to actually live there? You guys look like you are having an amazing south west tour. Enjoy. So many places in the UK to visit just need some warm and sunny British weather 🌞🌞🌞🌞
Hi Bob&Jenny been they twice its a nice Village Last time we was there they was filming doc Martin Chemist is on the Left of the Fish Place we have just got back from Devon it was raining all the week have a nice time
Thanks for making a great video, beautiful village, nice to see the Doc Martin locations. Cornwall is stunning. Love watching your videos and like to see Poppy exploring new places
I love Doc Martin, the story line and the scenery and have watched every episode. I've never been to Port Isaac but I did recognise all the houses there. Thank you for showing it.
went same caravan park awning broke blocking had door with the wind beautiful walks along the coastal paths, port Issac was a beautiful place really nice steep walks though you need be fit and full of energy though and not forgetting the drive to to C&M site is a bit of nightmare as towing caravan twin axle then but well worth the visit
Hi Ive been to Port Isaac many years ago, before Doc Martin was filmed there, ive been following your routes all over the place I love the ones in Scotland,I have a question does your wife not drive ??
I’m a fan of Doc Martin, and have been to Port Isaac a couple of times. For those going be sure to look for Squeeze Belly Alley. Always fun seeing those little white terriers. Thanks for sharing Bob, Jenny, and Poppy.☺️
Hi guys, yes been there, and yes it is a great tv series, shame it came to an end, looks like you had a great time, looking forward to more of your travel videos 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you, my wife wants me to take her there I hope we get the sun like you, but I hope the pubs are open 😂❤️🍻 As we live in N.Ireland it may be a while till we make the journey so I'll show her this film to tide her over😂😂😂
Lovely place. We have been to many places in Cornwall over the years, but never Port Isaac. Must pay it a visit soon. Thanks for sharing, Paul and Suzanne. 👌👌
It’s a lovely place to walk around but does get incredibly busy. We couldn’t get in any of the shops when we visited last September. Looks like you had a lovely sunny day 😃 Trev n Sue
Gorgeous place. Holidayed in Port Isaac the last 2 years in Temple Cottage, part of which spans over Squeeze Belly Alley (narrowest public thoroughfare in Britain). The cottage was next door to the one Doc lives in when he lives apart from Louisa but the production team make out Temple Cottage is part of the same place. Our bedroom window was the one Doc throws out the little dog Buddy. Just up Dolphin Street is where his Aunt lives in Homestead.
Great vlog, I was out of breath just watching you ! When we have been there we came in from the other direction, via Port Gavern and parked at that side, it didn't seem to be as far down to harbour 👍
Hi Bob and Jenny, if you carry on up the hill from the Docs house it is a dead end and goes into a hotel/bed & breakfast. My parents have stayed there. But in the show you see the doc driving in and out of that road as if its a normal road..I f you get the chance then watch The Fishermans friend film...very funny and filmed down there and based on the group who live down there
We did Port Issac in October, & ate at the pub , delicious fish & chips . Mrs ‘tishall ‘s is an ice cream parlour . You pretty much walked past it. Fish & chips at the club site are very nice too . 😀
It’s an absolutely gorgeous town however, I wouldn’t want to live there. Imagine actually owning the house where Doc Elliott “lives” and having a constant stream of people right outside your front door and windows.
Love the Dr Martin show. Need more shows like that. Too many violent shows on tv in the U.S.. Cute dog you have. 🐶. Thank you.
Yes, one of our favourites too.
I stumbled onto Doc Martin on PBS. I haven’t seen the whole series, but I really enjoyed it. I remember watching a documentary about the filming of the series. It is a really beautiful area.
Beautiful country. I read where a season 10 of “Doc Martin” is in the plans for this year and a release of next Spring.
Yes looking forward to it
Been many times when I lived in Marazion. Beautiful place which can get very busy at peak times thanks to the Doc. Loved the video. 👍👍
The shop used as the Pharmacy in Doc Martin is located down past the harbour, across the narrow road from the pub on the corner with all the tables and chairs outside. The shop does actually have a small sign in the window advertising the fact that it is used as Mrs Tishell's chemist....
Thanks, I'd probably still have missed it if it was specsavers! 😃

It was there in 2016, I used it then.....
What a treat! Thanks for showing us around. Looked like a hard walk but you were very lucky with the weather. 👍
Thanks for taking us on your tour of Port Isaac. I am a follower of Dr Martin as well.

Another beautiful quaint place, just how it was on Doc Martin.

Hello. We own the fudge shop in town that doubles as the chemist. Sorry you missed us. Pop in and say hello next time you are in the village!
Thanks, we will definitely come back now!!!
Mrs Tishell the lady at the chemist on Doc Martin.Lovely little fishing village 😁☀️

Great vlog, I was out of breath just watching you ! When we have been there we came in from the other direction, via Port Gavern and parked at that side, it didn't seem to be as far down to harbour 👍

Oh welcome to Cornwall! Just realised you are in my county 🙂 I'll enjoy these videos particularly.
We were there 3 weeks ago we were just as puffed out as you two , imagine having to live there, you wouldn’t want a paper round lol
We did Port Issac in October, & ate at the pub , delicious fish & chips . Mrs ‘tishall ‘s is an ice cream parlour . You pretty much walked past it. Fish & chips at the club site are very nice too . 😀
Yes, a couple of people mentioned we missed it. A great place to visit.
Great video, love Port Isaac. To get back to the site on the Sat Nav does it not have an option for 'previous destinations'?
Yes, we were just being silly, it has a history.
Excellent Bob & Jenny thanks for sharing.hope you had a great birthday today.
Yes, thanks. Took my mum to the blood clinic, Morrisons and edited a video! 😊👍 She did buy me a Tamnavulin for my Birthday, so yes a good day.
The chemist was right next to fishmongers you walked right past it , lovely place
Thanks, amazing we missed it!
Hi Bob, is this stunning location accessible with a 7m motorhome ?
If you park in the car park we parked at, plenty of space for Motorhomes.
It’s an absolutely gorgeous town however, I wouldn’t want to live there. Imagine actually owning the house where Doc Elliott “lives” and having a constant stream of people right outside your front door and windows.
Yes, it would be a nightmare.
HWTHMBO thought he knew his way back to the car park. So we walked down and up and down and up. I share your red faces after the "stroll".
Apparently we could have carried on walking around back to the car park.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo well done for doing it and filming too. X
did you get your blood pressure taken Bob
Yes, but he couldn't take the blood sample...
You got to walk back up the hill Bob
Port Isaacs is real close to Tinnie
i could roll down hill , not a cat in hells chance of getting back up , my that was a steep walk
