- I LOVE Alexandria, VA. This is one of my most favorite and best places to live in Virginia. I lived here from 2005 to 2008.
There is so much history and culture here. One of my most favorite places in Alexandria, VA is Old Town. This is a special place where you can find charming architecture, waterfront communities, boutique stores and lots of great restaurants.

I never know that this city has many different parts to it and yes, only folks with old money can live comfortably in Old Town.
Likewise, not every visitor can afford to buy beautiful art piece in T. Factory, yet there is a good art league center for Art classes.

I am been planning to move to VA cause living in Vt is getting old it is stagnant for economy expensive. Is Arlington or Alexandria a better place to live? Will have a $250k budget on a condo
Unfortunately with that budget neither Arlington or Alexandria are reasonable, at least in somewhat desirable parts. Need to about double that budget.

Oh for sure!, there are bus stops everywhere, and the Metro will take you close to anywhere you need to go. You will not need a car in the area, just some walking and bus/Metro trips.

In old town yeah. At least a million. There are apartments around 325k on Duke street and other areas that are much more affordable.
