Hi James,
Yeah, if I will do any other work on Delica I will definitely film it to help others as well. Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers brotha!
Mate, you’re my go-to when it comes to me working on my Delica. Love your work, keep them coming.
Thanks, Sean! More interesting/helpful Delica vids are coming up. Any suggestions?
Great video explaining how you resolved the issue, step by logical step. But I'm glad I won't need to troubleshoot mine at -30, I moved to Mexico after living in the Yellowknife area for decades. My Delica is parked right outside my casita and is really happy about the move too :)
Great to hear brother! Delicas like warm climate, that's for sure)
Did you registration your Delica in Mexico already?
Thanks for sharing!..good info for delica fans.
Our pleasure Richard!

Awesome! Let me know if you have any questions)
Really informative and well put together, very helpful.
Hi Christian. Glad it was helpful! Thanks for subscribing. Cheers brotha.
Hey mate your videos great the only thing with this I ask another guy first a diesel mechanic because I was scared to break he said 100% remove when engine hot NOT cold as when cold is when you have risk to break when hot the metal easier to loosen.
Hey brotha! I won't try to remove glow plugs on hot engine, most likely you will strip threads out completely or damage them for sure. I will tell you from school and my experience never remove glow or spark plug on hot engine.
Never seen this car before. Nice desiel minivan
That's unique diesel 4x4 van based on Mitsubishi Pajero chassis. Those vans are dinosaurs - simple and reliable.
This video is amazingly helpful!
Hi Zackery! Thanks for your kind feedback. I'm so glad this simple video helped you out. Greetings from Canada!

Excellent video mate! Thank you.
You're very welcome brotha!
Nice one PS 👌
Greetings from Oz, cobber. Thanks.
Rock on! You are very welcome John. Greeting back from Canada!
well done, just what I needed. Do you have video on checking the complete glow plug system; solenoid, relay, ignition connection etc...? I have a L300 td
Thanks POPS. No, unfortunately I don't. What is your question? I might can help you. Cheers and thanks for subscribing!
Check if there is power from relay to glow plugs..if there is power but no start, then check resistance of glow plugs one by one to isolate which one is faulty....if you have a hard start problem..just sharing..
Great to see the video mate. How long do your glow plugs last?
You're very welcome Smith. Glow plugs should last 100-150k at least.
Красота! Спасибо брат за туториал. На старте моя Делика, дымит белым дымом и не хватает сразу. Подозреваю плохие glow plugs. У тебя есть инструкции как поменять или отреставривровать injectors?
I don't have injectors replacement video yet! I would only put set of four OEM Mitsubishi fuel injectors with washers instead changing only injector tips. They are not even expensive.
Great vid! Look forward to new ones!
Yup! Hold on) More vids are coming very soon.
thanks for the video ! im looking to plug or scan my delica , do you know where the ecu plug its located ? thanks in advance
Hi Daniel! What year is your Delica L400?
@@PistonShack hey thanks! Its a 2000 , delica 2.8 cc 4x4
Help! My Delica starts and idles well, but after a few minutes it will start missing. I have to add throttle and eventually it will run smooth after it cleans itself out. The bigger problem, even after the temp gauge is risen, if you start to drive it will flat out die after a mile or so??? It never does this in the summer. Any advise is welcome.
Hey Erica. I would replace fuel filter first before doing any further troubleshooting.
I am looking to find glow plugs for my van which is the 2.8l td - same as in the video, can you assist me with a part number or link?
thanks
Hi Oliver! I used NGK CZ256 Ceramic Glow Plugs. Sorry , I don't have the link, I got them from the local automotive store. How is your repair?
Hi what’s the year and month that delica was built mines 10/96 just on change over
That was friend of mine 1999 Delica. Sorry, I don't know production month.
How do you get to the starter motor with not much access space?
Yeh, Jim! Delica is treatable vehicle to work on! There's almost no clearance but You can get to the starter from the top and underneath. Bzw, how is your starter replacement. Before you remove old starter, check / clean all wiring (ground as well) known to corrode over time.
why your intercooler hose has oil in it?
What about glow plug washer / gasket
Nope, no washers / gaskets on 4m40. Thanks for watching brotha!
Hi Andres! Seems like ignition key cylinder is worn out, It should turn off power when you switch to off and pull key out. Take a panels from the steering column and check power supply/ground when key is out. Let me know how everything is going. Cheers.
does all glow plugs needs to be connected to the power line? and if yes what can it cause, could it cause a loud knocking?
Hi Joshua! Yes, all four glow plugs should be connected to the power supply line. Where is knocking sound located (Top/Bottom)? Does it knock only on cold?
@@PistonShack Yes Sir, it sounds in the bottom, the mechanic said it sounds louder because the injectors might be sending too much diesel, im working on a 4M40 Turbo diesel 2.8L
@@joshuapech8845 Okay. How many Clicks in your Deli? Have you replaced fuel injectors (cleaned/tested) before? Leaky injectors can cause diesel black death.
Do you have any issues with cold starts?
@@PistonShack Not sure about the clicks but im going to calibrate the injectors, no issues with cold stars. starts good and everything
@@PistonShack the engine is newly built at the moment, is there any way I can send you a video of the truck running?
