My perspective of Eva and Jack changed so drastically after I saw their memories, and really appreciated them both a lot more as characters afterwards. I am so glad I saved her. Seeing her and Jack together made me really happy.
A burden Jack was prepared to shoulder so Eva wouldn't needlessly suffer but she had been by his side for so long, wandering through what seemed to be an everlasting Hell. Jack almost made such a difficult sacrifice. Nearly forsaking what little humanity remained and risking himself to become a monster so Eva could be free, he cares about her more than anything.
Eva was the last part of humanity of Jack. without her, he will be nothing more than "the Hunter", the grimm reaper of Vein. Jack kill by duty, but I think, deep in his heart, killing the successors is a burden, mostly when the successors he slaughter are close friend, like Nicola. Eva is the only one who can help Jack to stay human and killing her means, kill what make him human... and he understood it when the time has comes
I saved everyone first playthrough. How did I manage that on the first playthrough? I spent ten fucking hours in the Cathedral and everywhere else trying to find every single little secret. I absolutely wasted my time, but it was worth it just to see everyone's stories end in their way. Too bad I was going for platinum, So... Yeah, that was a fucking gut punch when I did the bad and neutral endings.
Imo, code vein did the overworked “villain becomes an ally” trope really well imo with jack and eva, he wasn’t inherently evil, just worried that youd lose yourself to the portion of the queen inside you, and that he’d be forced to take you down
This is so hauntingly powerful. A remarkable section of the game, and this track has never failed to give me goosebumps. It's one of those songs you stop what you're doing for, and just listen.
I like this character, very endearing, and her songs are nice, but you know... YOU WOULDN'T BE COVERED HEAD TO TOE IN SCARS IF YOU DIDN'T WEAR ROSE THORNS AS A CAPE.

I have seen a lot of people think she was an adult/teenager when she was captured by Revenants (which was post Operation Queenslayer). They conveniently forget that part when shipping her with Jack and suddenly forget the age gap. It's honestly annoying when people forget that facet of her character.
I was really close to not restoring her because 1st i wanted to see what would happened since i restored all previous successors and 2nd i wanted to get my revenge on jack but the corridor to the boss arena with sun at the back and the music were quite beautiful and i thought that it might affect the ending and I'm glad i did restore her because i was right about the ending thing. Definitely one of the highlights of the game

@@llawliet4351 For my part, I was doing my first run saving everyone, but then I began to read about the achievements... had to get the bad ending out of the way first, I swear I was crying when I didn't save her, after that, the next run I saved her for the normal ending, form then on I only had her and Io in my team.
i suppose not to save her on my second playtrough (not gonnna save anyone).. but i messed up and save her anyways! i screw up.. after seeing again her and Jack cutscene, i just cant......

I’m pretty sure most of the scars she has are from when she was captured and enslaved by revenants when she was little.
