Lanes are breaking down because when Bowlero takes over a center they basically do away with leagues and leave the center go down the toilet. Then when they host a big tournament their lack of maintenance and management shows up in a big way. Same thing happens at the 2 Bowlero centers in my area.
Literally! The one near me in Woodland Hills, CA is dogshite. Straight driest lanes I’ve ever bowled on and even damaged my equipment a bit. So disappointed. I literally created a yelp account for the first time ever to leave an honest negative review. Lol
That makes alot of sense. I bowled at this center for 20 yrs. I moved from Milwaukee area to Tampa area and my friend told me there are no leagues there! That's a 72 lane house right there...
Simo's plastic is impressive, but it was the loft shots from Ryota and Via that were just mind blowing, past the arrows between 35 and 40, so much precision!
@@matttf2538 Sure, that's easy to say, but Chris Via is 5th overall and was also playing that same loft. So... maybe, just maybe, the loft game is something someone could hope to win with and it comes down to other factors like experience, ball choice etc... If the best bowlers in the world didn't think they could win by lofting the left gutter then they wouldn't do it.
The pattern looked BRUTAL towards the end. Lots of splits and I wasn't sure what you could do to strike. Sounds like a place the PBA needs to not go back to if the breakdowns continue to keep happening. DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN that kid got 1 hell of a loft game!
Great video, guys! Honestly, the PBA Tour needs to make sure your channel is mentioned on every telecast, regardless of whether either of you are actually on it. I honestly don't believe there are two better ambassadors for the sport and the tour. Good luck on Shark!
For those of you playing the home game, Kevin Kullman suggested putting surface on the clear Belmo spare ball at the Illinois State Tournament in 2017 at Northgate Lanes in Galesburg, IL...where I shot my best set of the weekend on the double burn for singles. Cut to a few years later, I came 5th at the Petersen utilizing the same ball/surface. ...Before there was Simo, there was Kullman/Murillo...
I'm totally amazed by the bowlers who can avg 230. It looks so hard to get the ball to a spot (that isn't very big), then have it do the right thing, and also go through the pins correctly. This format favors power, versatility, repeatabilty, then accuracy.
Love your video’s! I’m an old guy, 71, and wish I had bowled when I was your age! I started in 2016 and enjoy bowling in two senior leagues! I really study you guy’s releases to help me improve! I do have to use a 13# ball because of a slight heart condition, but do have some 14# balls when I feel stronger! I just really love the game and wish you guys the best of luck in this new season of bowling!
Loved the ending of the video, lol! Great content as always. Of all the bowling-related channels on UA-cam, you guys have the best format in terms of showing other bowlers, recapping the tournaments, as well as hearing what other bowlers have to say.
So many others have said it but your content and format are just awesome. Wish you guys nothing but success on the lanes, but even your low days make for relatable viewing. Keep grinding!
I know editing takes a lot of time during a busy tournament week, but we fans would love to see comments from Coach Daniel if he's there, or even Bill, as to what he's having the guys work on/adjust during play. And also, comments from the ball reps on what balls are working/not working, and why. Keep up the great work! Let's go guys!
Only person that travels with us is Dennis and he does the filming, social media content and editing. Ball reps usually are focused on making sure people are striking and don’t usually want to be on camera. Most of the time in the bowling center everyone is locked in to getting as many pins as possible. (Sidenote from Dennis: I was up til 3am editing this one then woke up at 8:30 so we could get to the bowling alley on time. I’m tired as hell 😂😂)
Cool video. How about a video explaining why you have such diverse starting points. From about board 10, to outside of board 39. Realize it’s due to changing lane conditions. But as a newer bowler it would be great to hear the explanation.
I believe a Bowlero having lanes breaking down. The one I go to never seems to have lanes oiled. When you get a Hustle Wine snapping to the pocket, you know you're in for a long day.
For someone who is used to bowling on only house shots, It's a real treat to see you guys take on these different patterns from day to day. You guys always pick the right kind of content 🎳
Great video as always guys. I also love watching all the channels. You guys keep putting out amazing content keep up the good work, also gotta give Dennis kudos as well for the hours he puts in with all the recording and editing he does!
Are those actual wood lanes and approaches? Man, I miss houses like that. I’ve never gotten comfortable on synthetic approaches…feel like I’m ice skating.
Yo brad I've watched these videos for quite awhile and you were talking about how coach jaz had you working on your trail leg... But you have abandoned that and are more elevated now is there a reason behind it?? Cause not gonna lie i incorporated that to my practice routine and def made a difference. Anyways love to watch you and Kyle thru the years thank you
Simo( aka Little Anthony), Anthony and Sean Lavery-Spahr use to work together at Plano Super Bowl in Plano, TX. I've known him since he was 15 and watched him win $5k in Brackets during a tournament. I told him that he was going to be a star way back then. He's definitely special!!!
Great video guys. Simo thought of drilling a plastic probably because of past experience and because he knows he can throw it like that. Many others can't throw plastic like that and be confident they will shoot 200+.
To B & K what is the highest score each of you bowled using Plastic? I remember shooting 244 with a Storm Ice during a church men's bowling outing years ago. Great Video Guys. PM
I did not know that was "legal" to stand in another lane to approach your own lane. That kid who stood 1 lane to his left then loft it halfway down his lane on the right...that was sick LOL
@@BradandKyleBowl My next thumb out ball is going to be plastic. I was throwing plastic thumb out in the 90s before taking over 20 years off. From thumb in to thumb out, I am moving 20 boards left with reactive.

Breakdowns and Bowlero go hand in hand. Everyone needs to appreciate their local family owned centers and give them as much business as possible. I’ve bowled in many Bowleros, including Wauwatosa and they are all the same. Overall dirty and absolutely no lane or pinsetter maintenance at all. The end of bowling may be closer than we think.
Kyle and D-Tang have some of my favorite forms. EJ always scares me. Like every shot he's taking out all his anger that his wife's favorite bowler is Belmo.
I agree on Tackett lol, but I hate D Tang's form. He has no revs, no power and his ball just tumbles with his awkward release. Too high of a back swing, too much wrist movement. He also never ever plays straight angles when it calls for it. This past year he has developed so much wrong with his game and release. Its just a mess this year and his results have showed it.
@@strongereveryday2302 I would disagree. Tang is not the biggest guy but for his size he generates some decent revs and speed. He is second in the Shark right now.
Brad is going to tear up the Shark pattern. I can feel that he is very close. If he keeps it in front of him and doesn't give up the pocket we are in for a dominating performance from Brad. Kyle will also make the show, but it's Brad's tournament to win! Let's go guys!
Brad, IMO I think you're trying to hook it too much. I understand the fronts are fried but you are great at staying up the back and keeping it in front of you as much as possible. Difficult to beat the high rev guys from the left. I think you're trying to MAKE IT WORK and it's just very tough. Just a thought.
Not really. Looks good on camera when throwing a strike but you can't win with that shot....it's way to hard to do consistently. He finished 109th. There is a reason the top bowlers don't do that.
