Castaway is a great movie and Tom Hanks does some pretty crazy stuff, like fashioning together a raft using VHS tape. But how realistic is that? Today we're putting it to the test- can you make rope out of VHS tape, and can it hold a raft together?

The ethanol won't freeze in the freeze dryer, it a freezing point is way too low. But, the liquid nitrogen could freeze it.
Boba Uchiha I don’t think anything would happen. You can’t set fire to something frozen as it’s heat would have to rise enough to be able to catch fire, which would thaw it out. Also, the, Ethanol’s freezing point is much too low for a freeze dryer. Liquid Nitrogen would do it though.

Use the liquid of glowsticks and try to paint other things with it so they glow in the dark!!!😅
You need the Phenyl Oxalate Ester to mix with the Hydrogen peroxide together that wouldn’t work. A glow stick has the liquid in the actual body and another liquid in the little stick when you snap it the stick breaks and mixes the to solutions together and creates a chemical reaction.
I would be cool to make our own glow sticks using the chemicals inside ones you find at the store.

They're either blank old tapes, and IF they had what their descriptions stated, they've likely digitised them by now. It was purely for entertainment purposes. Common sense would tell you that.

You guys should crack eggs into liquid nitrogen and try making the opposite of a poached egg. You should also put raw and hard boiled eggs into the vacuum chamber and see what happens. Also you could try making crystal geodes with egg shells, potassium aluminium sulfate powder! (You can find the instructions on the internet)

Braiding actually should increase the strength of individual fibers. The initial stretch u got from nate's hanging was due to the loose braid. Do a test of braided vs not braided tape on the crane scale for the same amount of tape strands.
