Russia owes Syria, because President Assad rejected Qatar's request for oil supplies to pass through Syrian territory and reach Europe. Then Europe would dispense with Russian oil, i.e. the collapse of the Russian economy. I am an arab first and foremost, just because I speak decent english doesn't mean I have no clue what I'm talking about, all of the fatwas of jihad in european muslim communities recruited young men to be flown out to Turkey with the coordination of their central intelligence agency, many came from afghanistan, many from libya after the same rats killed colonel Ghaddafi, some from chechnya also and I saw lots videos of them calling on their brothers back home to come fight.
all of the weapons and fighters came from Turkey through the syrian Idlib region and many turkish reporters were detained and silenced after filming it, all of the funding for jabhat al nusra came from Qatar>turkey> free syrian army(that later became jabhat al nusra).
saudi funded the islamic state but later abandoned them, ISIS and al nusra also brutalized each other just like their parent countries do because one is salafi islamists and the other is muslim brotherhood.
the royal family that supported ISIS and failed to win was violently dethroned later by MBS and his father as they were no longer useful.
very very little percentage of fighters inside syria were actually syrian since most of them agreed with the assad government during the first and second year to stop fighting in exchange for no prosecution and it worked, almost all of the rest worked with foreign funding and arming.
as a side note, the free syrian army was supported by Hamas when they first came out since both hamas and the FSA were funded by Qatar.
all of these groups were barbaric cut-throats, I used to frequent a site called "bestgore" that was later taken down, used to show all kinds of gore beheading videos these animals filmed. I cannot remove the sounds and images from my head of these poor kids in the al-yarmouk refugee camp near damascus , they were choking with their own blood while getting their throats cut at the shouts of "allahu akbar", I don't care what kind of dictatorship assad has in syria, he is an angel compared to those animals.
