Before that play court, there used to be a really large, and awesome fountain. I used to visit tricounty all of the time. Many good memories. And forest fair mall too.
Great video! I now live in North Carolina, but I worked at the Suncoast Video in this mall back in high school during the late 90’s….It really was a great mall….My favorite mall in the Cincinnati area….Thanks again!
That mall was full of liminal space. Very pristine vibes. Hey I was wondering if you ever walk around the Southern Park Mall in Boardman? I swear I seen you there a few months ago. I wanted to say hi but you looked like you were filming at the time. That curfew really sucks. I remeber they put that in at Chappel Hill Mall and I went with my dude and he was younger and we had to go because of that. Are there any big malls left in the southwest of Ohio? I havn't made it out that way but would imagine there's something there.
Agreed! Also, I was at Southern Park in mid March with my friend, doing a video there. I would’ve had no problem if you said hi. In southwest Ohio, thriving wise, there is Kenwood Mall in Cincinnati, 2 malls in Dayton, and a bunch of other struggling properties around them still.
My sister-in-law would badger her grandfather into driving her to Tri county on Black Friday. He would be stuck in traffic for nearly an hour as so many shoppers were headed there.
It sounds like the curfew killed the mall. It sounds like it was too strict and customers stopped going. The mall is really pretty. I like how open it is.
You did a pretty decent job, with this video! I wish I could've visited this mall, before it shut down. It really did have a nice design. Too bad if it is sitting vacant and nothing, not even the proposed demalling project, is occurring here. I wish something new like offices, could be done inside this building over tearing it down.
Do you have any memories at Tri County Mall?
I’ve unfortunately never been here but I’ve always wanted to go
I loved this mall I remember when they enclosed the mall. My first job was at the Forum Cafeteria when I was a teen. The curfew signaled the end.
i vaguely remember seeing Santa there when i was 5-6.

yep I remember
I love the drone footage. It really shows how big the building really is.
Some of my fondest memories of my grandma happened here
Fantastic vid man! Everyday I miss Tri County a little more

Agreed! Reusing the building would be a lot easier too
@@ERA_Productions …but it’s actually more expensive and complex for a developer to repurpose a building than start from scratch and money talks.
That's a fair point.
A dying city
this is about Cincinnati not New York City
