I’m not even a basketball fan and I can tell this take is beyond goofy. If nothing else, the impact of bringing more fans in cannot be underestimated. The man is an all time great.
I totally agree with you, his team was much better then his opponents, almost always he needs some superstar(s) around him to pull team to finals. Miami Heat during his era even without him would be championship favorite.
It was sad always how he push his teammates development, actually his stats is inflate by ball hugging and not playing defense (taking uncontested defense rebounds)
He's easily the most overrated athlete in the history of sports but he did have some years he was very good. I have him in my top 20

I’ve watched a bunch of basketball and a lot of really good basketball players over the years and I have NEVER watched a great basketball player with an uglier game than LeBron. Everything LeBron does looks like it’s “hard” to do. It’s not smooth, it’s not fluid. It just never looks pleasing to the eyes. He is skilled, but he is also not that skilled if that makes sense. He has no way of getting around a one on one unless it’s thru another player. I mean, that’s cool too but it’s not.
That's one of the things I can't stand about him. He's not enjoyable to watch at all. Players like Jordan, Kobe, Iverson made even a boring game more interesting to watch. I'd watch them even though I didn't like their teams.

They respect your KING's game, but even the greatest players who faced MJ were afraid of him because of how dominant he was. I wasn't even born yet when MJ was in his prime, but basing off of stats (may it be accumulative or per game stats), accomplishments, the impact each one had on the game, the fear/respect other players had for each one of these to GOATS, how they played the game, the era they played in, and more, I would still say MJ is better than Lebron. Not saying that Lebron is bad, he's great, but he's just not MJ.
