Well i went with my mom and brother i started crying that didn't want to go so i put my eyes on my face so i didn't look i kinda looked up but i yelled i hate you zombies and when we went out of the ride i start to cry more and they said i was a cry baby.
Avishag M would it be weird if I took my girlfriend Maggie into this and seriesly I have a girlfriend named Maggie and no my name is not Gleen thank goodness for that. She likes horror movies but would not want to experience them.
The attraction is startling, but not scary It's a bit awkward after they jumpscare you Zombie: RRRRAAAAHHH Me: AAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!! Zombie: ... Me: I'm just going to walk ahead now... Zombie: :(
dtacoms thats how it is with all horror walkthrough esque things. They can't touch you. I make it my job to be the little shit who stares at them way too long 😂😂
dtacoms Ok, I just need to tell you a story, my dad convinced me to go in the attraction with him. Once I got in I literally closed my eyes and never opened them until I got outside, my dad told me he ran because he was worried I might get scared. It was so scary because I opened my eyes for one second and saw a bloody zombie. I'm never going in there again. There was a funny story though, a group of teens were walking in front of us and they dropped their sunglasses multiple times. When that happened, the bloody zombie that I saw rolled his eyes and grinned, lol 😂
People would be fighting each other in the middle of an apocalypse and I would be standing there saying "Can I get a waffle? Can I PLEASE get a waffle?"
I went with my mom, little brother, and my dad. I barely made it past the dead inside/don't open doors before I started to panic. By the time we made it to the neurology wing I was crying and they had to get me out through the side exit. My dad was scared too and he went, 'im going with her to make sure she's OK, I'll meet you guys outside'. 😅
I went to universal last October and this was terrifying but I loved it! The dedication of the actors was very impressive! They wouldn't let us normal folks film inside though.
I agree, but what i don't get is how some of the zombies inside has masks and then some had light makeup. The ones outside had heavy makeup and I kinda scratched my head as to why the zombies outside get heavy makeup but some of the zombies inside don't. And the prep for that would take at least 30 artists and 2 hours least of prep to get like 50 or 100 zombies done. Im surprised theyy pulled that feat off.
Wow the attention to detail is incredible. I love that they've included elements of the show up to the S6 finale. A few sections would be scarier if the lights were dimmed. But this still kicks ass
That guy that kept yelling “go go I’ll cover you!” Yelled that at me and I immediately yelled back (I was terrified lol) “where am I going?!” And he took a second like no ones ever asked him that and just said “GO!” Again
CHARLIE GOMEZ805 IT is Warner Bro’s and the only time Universal can use them is Halloween Horror Nights but even then each year we don’t always have a WB property. IT would still be cool though!
I seriously thought it was a full on ride when we were in line for it. I was there with my older sister's family. To all the people whos says it doesnt look scary, you have to be in there to actually be scared of course your not gonna get scared through a screen lol, so dont even talk about scary if you haven been there.
I went in there about two weeks ago. I'm a horror know it all. I own all the horror classics and still today collect them. I love being scared! Walking Dead is one of my all time favorite tv shows. I know everything there is about the walking dead. This says a lot with what I'm about to say, "It was Dumb". I'm not trying to offend you Chris Ruiz but you need to realize that Hell Raiser two was more creepy and scary then the walking dead ride. Fright mares in Utah a couple years back (I was still a horror flick gal even then) was more scary then this. So yah.. if you hate horror films of course you'll find it scary.. BUT if you are very similar to me then you will find it lame.
This is year around so I hope they have more scare actors when it opens next Monday; that'd suck if they only increased the actors for Halloween season!
They should have hired more professionally trained method actors to be "Walkers" as any true TWD fans that no Walker will not skip out on a meal, right??Lastly,The should have had Chris Hardwick(or a look alike actor) get in people's faces asking them "how does it feel to survive THE WALKING DEAD attraction?" in a section called "Talking surviving TWD Attraction" and then take a picture take home with them,I mean he is tethered to TWD,right??
I used to be a huge Walking Dead fan several years back, so I got a huge kick out of doing this a couple of years ago. It's really well done but it's too short. I was so amused. My friend kept dodging all the zombies and skirting past them quickly (she never screamed), and I just kept laughing at all the people around me screaming. It definitely wasn't scary to me since I was acutely aware it wasn't real, but the vibe was brilliant, gorgeous. Loved the hospital entrance and "Don't Open Dead Inside'.
I went in today. I had to leave within a minute as I got terrified. My friends had so much fun seeing me screaming looking for the exit. 😀. Definitely not for me!
KK o..m..g.. I have ansiatie and I went I have an ansiatie attack but I still wanted to go through so they had all the zombies introduce them selves to me and all talked to me and one punched a fake zombie and it was funny
For those of you saying there's not a lot of scare actors to scare you, most of them where outside in the soft opening event. Also I would like to point out THIS IS JUST A SNEAK PEAK. They even have signs outside saying that it's in technical rehearsals and that some features are not being used. There will be for sure more effects and scare actors on opening day on Monday
I'm actually surprised that this channel isn't over 100,000 subscribers, even over 1,000,000. The amount of work they put into this channel is amazing. Keep up the good work! That silver play button will be yours soon! After that, gold!
I just went there for the first time and went to this attraction. This video didn't have much compared to what I saw in person. They added more actors and opened another door for a walker to come out of. There was more decoration and blood. It got more intense. And ever since, people came to it more. There was no chanied up walkers and no fences outside. But I was really impressed with this attraction though. I hope someday they will add a few more rooms for the attraction.
Lol what did the zombie do I’d have slapped my cousin and said sorry to the zombie for bumping him and then said she’s such an idiot here you gave her and push my cousin towards the zombies
Thanks for this video, only got to see it in person once years ago. Amazing that they had a year-round walkthrough like this. I hope they do something like this again in the future!
I was so confident when i went there, but then I started yelling in the prison cells zombie. And i started crying ;c Little note: I think it was rhe zombie in 4:25
I think it would benefit from having some actors playing the main characters. Maybe seeing Rick trying to leave the hospital or Hershel getting his leg cut in the prison. Or dare I say, Daryl carrying Beth's body out.
It looks good but I think some people are expecting too much. I don't think it's meant to be very scary or interactive. In the tight area that you walk through it's very easy for visitors to bump into something or trip over something and get hurt. So for legal and liability reasons, they can't have the zombies chasing you and risk people falling down or getting trampled. They surely can't have the zombies come up and grab you and try to take a bite out of you. And you can't try to split their heads with an ax. So I don't think we should expect to become zombie fighting warriors in this attraction. It's just a chance to see the make-up and special effects up-close and get a feeling of what it would be like to live in a zombie apocalypse. Now, a paintball-style attraction where you have to run from and fight Walking Dead zombies would be very interesting. The objective would be to make it through the attraction and avoid getting bitten. That sounds like fun.
When my brothers and I went to Universal last year, I tried going through the Walking Dead maze, but I couldn't go through with it because the beginning of the queue made me a little anxious so I had to get out of there. At first, I was brave to actually walk in, but then at the last second after seeing the first part of the queue, I just couldn't do it.
i really want to be nice about this. but i wasn't that impressed. whats the difference between this and Halloween maze? or the normal maze they have? which was what the mummy? or claissc monsters? you get my point. but i was expecting more then a maze. i don't care if it was a maze but couldn't they think ouside the box like make a game with paint balls where you have survive or something like that.... love the show the makeup. but this was disappointment.
You do realize that having actual guest interaction would result in the line going up to extreme wait time, right? A paintball gun game could potentially result in safety hazards. I really don't know what you were expecting, but this is very impressive. The sets are incredible and nothing like we've ever seen in HHN ever. It's an immersive experience, you don't have to have direct interaction in an attraction order to be entertained.
+CreepyKarpy for one thing paintball was example since you couldn't tell. two i was expecting much more since they were planing this for while. including being universal studios. they could have done a style of buzzlight year orbit blaster ride where you had targets. am old fashion. this a lighter version to Halloween for families. these walkthroughs aren't exciting. if you like then fine by me. its oppions. my husband agree with me its not great. he's a fan of that theme park not me.. so am not sorry wanting more am not sorry for wanting old school thrills.
Blaire Vince Walkthrough haunted attractions have been old school thrills for a while now, I don't know if you've ever heard of Coney Island. First off, actually type properly. Secondly, they can't fit a ride like Buzzlight Year in the venue that the Walking Dead attraction is in. Third, John Murdy, the creative director of Universal, stated that he chose not to make it a ride since being in a vehicle would make you feel safe because there's this barrier between you and the environment. The attraction is suppose to make you feel like you are the character and you are in the show exploring these environments. A paintball battle or a blasters ride would ruin that tone and feeling the attraction is suppose to give since it would feel very off and unnecessary. So I am not sorry for actually writing in English, I am not sorry for being logical, and I am not sorry for examining all the scattered flaws in your opinions.
I agree. I wasn't impressed. I saw a different video when they were making the attraction, and It looked more exciting. But now that I see it done, it isn't. Just boring. I thought the half bodies hanging on the ceiling would be right there when you walked by, but they put them far. When you enter the attraction it looks empty, and too bright. Also those metal tubes marking the path ruin it. It makes it obvious you are at a park. I know they have a purpose, but they look ugly, too much. Maybe it'll look better when they open it. They say they'll double the walkers on HHN, maybe it'll be worth then. I wanted to go before seeing this video, but now I'm not interested.
+Poguito33 it's sad i was excited. the opening ceremony was the best part of it. lol i do live the make up of the zombies when they them. i love how into the actors get in character. but this was rushed! am sorry it was. my husband says it will out with in a month or so. he went alot to universal studios. he claims the maze can be cool when it first opens. then a month hits, it becomes empty and closing off sections of the maze. i have seen that too. universal has been slacking. they don't live up to there name anymore. movies are on thing. but even the Simpson's ride was rushed also. its the same movements from back to the future. so yea lol
Reading comments. I recently went to universal...meaning just last week. My brother and I went in. 1) it is much more darker than the video. It's most likely enhanced so you the viewer can see inside. It is extremely dark. 2) the jump scares are much more effective and fast. Yes they go back into their place but at this point it was more for the press so they can showcase different things like the IRL actors and the animatronics. 3) this is defiantly for press mainly. So don't take this to heart. It can be scary if u actually go as a person. I watched one video before going the night before at our hotel and was not scared at all. When we got there the mood is extremely different, along with the lighting it's very dark and most jumps are amped up. 4) don't let little kids in. They say on the sign outside it is not recommended, as before we went in a little boy who looked around 3 ran out screaming his head off out of fear. I'm just stating my experience! 😊
+Margaret Distefano I'm also just saying I don't want anyone to be disappointed by press videos. Going there in person was a much different experience rather than seeing it on the computer. So I would recommend going there is no wait in line u just walk in!
Thanks for the share. I hope they invest in a ride because this is like horror nights which isn't exactly new or spectacular. The makeup on the walkers is lackluster. I guess Nicotero needs to school Universal.
+Sherlock L. in his defense this is a year round attraction. so this thing needs to be financially viable to be running. the walkers on the show look better because they only need to be done up once. the walkers here have to be maintained year-round. so they need to be a bit frugal when it comes to Make-up. They are definetly better than the horror night walkers.
+Kai Rubix You have a point. I really just wish they would do a ride. (A WELL FUNDED ride). This attraction here was just disappointing. As I read down the thread I see many agree. Keeping my fingers crossed. 👌
+Sherlock L. I think it was on here that I heard that John murdy was thinking about it being a ride. but you lose something while being safely secured in a vehicle. besides Sally Corp has one in the works. they just need a buyer.
When I was 10 years old, my mom dragged my family into this maze during our vacation. My little brother, 7yrs at the time, got scared at the 2:19 mark, when the zombie hit the door, so him and my dad were looking for the exit because he was crying. I thought I'd last longer cause I can handle scares that aren't close to me, then the zombie at the 2:42 mark scared me, grabbed my shoulder, and I straight BOOKED it out of there. Found the exit immediately behind him, took off down the corridor, and exited into the plaza, without looking back. Found the exit before my brother and dad too. I'd survive a zombie apocalypse, that's for sure.
That has to be mildly infuriating to a performer to see people walking through with the video camera. One, they are just walking through without being scared, there's the one performer acting as a security guard who's yelling at him to go while he tries to defend him with a machine gun but the guy filming just casually takes his time anyway. And all of the people playing zombies are doing what they can to scare the person but he's just again, walking slowly pointing the camera interface. When he catches up to the other people walking the attraction a lot of them have cameras also. Two, having a cameraman means the performance and know that someone else is going to be able to see the attraction (like me) without having to pay to go.
I don't see how it's any different than a normal person walking through that isn't easily startled. I never get scared by that lame shit. Plus, it was very obviously a media preview event with media outlets INVITED BY UNIVERSAL STUDIOS, so a lot of people had cameras and the team members knew that. Don't be such an uppity, ignorant bitch.
I think the reason why so many people have cameras, including himself, is because it is a pre-opening media day or something to promote the attraction. They have been invited to film. When the attraction actually opens on July 4th I doubt people will be allowed cameras for the reasons you've said.
If the performer is intelligent they would realize that on day one on opening a ride you get a lot of press and reviewers that come to the ride. They are pretty much there to capture every bit of the ride, didn't you here the two guys talking about horizontal shots and vertical. None of those people going through that ride were there to get scared, unless they scare easy, it seemed to be pure business.
Chesley Ramos This isn't even the first day. It's literally a *MEDIA PREVIEW* event. This is before it was open to anyone else, other than possibly Universal team members. Which makes the original comment so much more stupid.
Honestly, the scariest part of this is hearing that whistling and knowing exactly who it is...

The whole thing looks like a line for a ride
I thought that at first.
Jurassic nixz it probably gets really packed
True lmao

The part when it says neurology is when the ride actually starts
The makeup was amazing

You should have anti-bite clothing on, allowing people to bite into you without piercing the clothing. That way you can feel the pinch.
Yeah, I wish they actually threw the guy to the ground and tore out his jugular. I'd pay for that
its basically a haunted house year round. so just like the rules in a haunt they can't touch you.

GO GO RUN HURRY GO GO!!!
Camera man: *walks slowly and watches the zombies*
I used to be a huge Walking Dead fan several years back, so I got a huge kick out of doing this a couple of years ago. It's really well done but it's too short. I was so amused. My friend kept dodging all the zombies and skirting past them quickly (she never screamed), and I just kept laughing at all the people around me screaming. It definitely wasn't scary to me since I was acutely aware it wasn't real, but the vibe was brilliant, gorgeous. Loved the hospital entrance and "Don't Open Dead Inside'.
Me too!! Too bad they got rid of this attraction 💔
They should have an attraction at universal of the breaking Bad meth lab
Lana Bitch Where you can cook real meth and buy some at the gift shop
OOM-9 Droid lmao
Omg yes
YES
Lanas coke they don’t need to they got heaps already
I shit you not I'd run round screaming coral
TheLegend27 everytime I see one of the Walker actors I'd say, dolphin smooth
same
I went in today. I had to leave within a minute as I got terrified. My friends had so much fun seeing me screaming looking for the exit. 😀. Definitely not for me!
KK o..m..g.. I have ansiatie and I went I have an ansiatie attack but I still wanted to go through so they had all the zombies introduce them selves to me and all talked to me and one punched a fake zombie and it was funny
sly09 aj Please read your school books and do your homework! "If" you even have it at all....??? It's called and spelled "anxiety".
Random 5 year old kid: high five!
Zombie: ummmmm
😭So beautiful, reflects the first episode so well.
I've been there. A few days ago. My mom was SCREAMING!!!😂
Same she saw a security guard and screamed
+That Person XD

I'm actually surprised that this channel isn't over 100,000 subscribers, even over 1,000,000. The amount of work they put into this channel is amazing. Keep up the good work! That silver play button will be yours soon! After that, gold!
Aged like fine wine
Zombie comes after the camera zombie:OH NO THE POPERATZY!
MostSavagePug when you try to make a joke but you misspelled the punchline
You have to actually be there to be more scared cause you can't really get the effect of it through a screen
Looks immersive and super cool, but should've been a dark ride...
Mike Hitchcock yeah, i really wish it was a ride instead of a walkthorugh
When I went there it was very dark, the brightness has been turned up in the video so you can see the whole thing
the burning house looks awesome
When I went on this walkthrough, my cousins literally pushed me out into one of the zombies and I screamed XD
Lol what did the zombie do I’d have slapped my cousin and said sorry to the zombie for bumping him and then said she’s such an idiot here you gave her and push my cousin towards the zombies
I should be hired as a fat asian zombie
This attraction seems as if Universal, had a lot of money laying around and someone was bored.
GoodMatters lol a fat Glen you mean
Lmao
Haha. I went through this like two days ago on vacation and my two sisters and dad screamed their heads off. I did too.we came out screaming.hahaa
Don't dead open inside
haha
Literally went to the comments just to see if someone mentioned that and you're the first comment I see. Thank you
I read it like that and I was so confused
That's how it was in the show that's why
lol
Thanks for this video, only got to see it in person once years ago. Amazing that they had a year-round walkthrough like this. I hope they do something like this again in the future!
People in the attraction: STAY AWAY FROM THE ZOMBIES!!!
people with cameras: No I don’t think I will
Advice: Don't scream and everything will be fine because if you do the scare you even more
Imagine being a zombie and doing this all year long.
Omg that be my dream job I’d love to be an extra on TWD or even FTWD and play a zombie or be one in here bet those actors have a blast
This was absolutely fantastic! I throughly enjoyed watching this 👍💖
I was so confident when i went there, but then I started yelling in the prison cells zombie. And i started crying ;c
Little note: I think it was rhe zombie in 4:25
I went through that 2 times and each time I cried I AM NEVER DOING THAT AGAIN!!
迫力満点。怖いが是非行ってみたい
原作見たことないが
If I went in there:
Zombie Actor: *jumpscares me*
Me: *yells* WELL YOUR JUST A HAPPY LIL FELLA AREN'T CHA
I think it would benefit from having some actors playing the main characters. Maybe seeing Rick trying to leave the hospital or Hershel getting his leg cut in the prison. Or dare I say, Daryl carrying Beth's body out.
I remember seeing this on the last few months it was open and literally no one went to it. I went through it once and that's all I needed to see.
My brother made me go on this. I was almost crying by the end.
they need when negan captures Rick group in there
I cant picture that scene there, like what? Youre just suppose to stay and watch the scene?
+R I O T yeah but thats too much work and time. they need people too keep walking.
i think they are going to put it when the next season comes out because they don't want to reveal who negan killed
You can hear the Saviors whistling while you're near the burning house
joshua action games 2
Everyone in the comments saying Hollywood gets all the cool shit but Florida has more rides wtf
katobi jones Florida rides are garbage, though
katobi jones Hollywood is better
We get more celebrities and our rides were originally scarier until they added screens
At least we still get celebrities
That sounds like fun.
k9jazzy121 They’re walkers
I went to the attraction before I started watching the show and now it's closed so it's a bummer since I would've appreciated it way more now.
Same as me
Whole bag of nope right there
Universal Hollywood is way better in my opinion.
Of course. They shoot everything here and it's looks dead on.
Of course. They shoot everything here and it's looks dead on.
+That Person same (Culver city) never gets old I love Universal till I die
Wtf are you talking about
I sure hope that was a sarcastic remark.. because, someone hasn't read the title of this video properly then otherwise..
obligatory Don't Dead Open Inside comment
"Don't Dead Open Inside"
thats a no-brainer
It probably meant "Don't open, dead inside" or something idk.
it says "don't open dead inside"
+Isabel Foster that's the joke.
what if out of all those zombies one was actually a real zombie XD
that would be horrible. that means one of us would actually get torn apart
+Chelsea Moon just hide under a dumpster, you set
+Chelsea Moon here's the thing they are literally dying while walking with maggots and flys everywhere lol
da da da!
yeah
When my brothers and I went to Universal last year, I tried going through the Walking Dead maze, but I couldn't go through with it because the beginning of the queue made me a little anxious so I had to get out of there. At first, I was brave to actually walk in, but then at the last second after seeing the first part of the queue, I just couldn't do it.
this is probably scary in person! even if it isn't, it's incredibly detailed and well done.
i really want to be nice about this. but i wasn't that impressed. whats the difference between this and Halloween maze? or the normal maze they have? which was what the mummy? or claissc monsters? you get my point. but i was expecting more then a maze. i don't care if it was a maze but couldn't they think ouside the box like make a game with paint balls where you have survive or something like that.... love the show the makeup. but this was disappointment.
+Poguito33 it's sad i was excited. the opening ceremony was the best part of it. lol i do live the make up of the zombies when they them. i love how into the actors get in character. but this was rushed! am sorry it was. my husband says it will out with in a month or so. he went alot to universal studios. he claims the maze can be cool when it first opens. then a month hits, it becomes empty and closing off sections of the maze. i have seen that too. universal has been slacking. they don't live up to there name anymore. movies are on thing. but even the Simpson's ride was rushed also. its the same movements from back to the future. so yea lol
I went through this on roblox! Its exactly the same. In impressed with how detailed people can be
Hopefully they make a stimulator ride one day. There's a shit ton they could do with that.
I was actually laughing at 4:19 when he was like "GO, GO! GET OUT OF HERE" and the person holding the camera just kinda takes their time.
I came back to this because my dad and I watched twd when I was younger and when we first went to Universal Studios we were so psyched to see this!
This just feels like a less edgy HHN house... It's not very scary and extremely mild. I don't think this is going to last long.
HOH was a lot scarier than this in my opinion. This was more like a museum!
+Margaret Distefano I'm pretty sure nobody read anything you wrote😅
+Robert Gementera I did.
thats the attraction? i thought it was just a long interactive queue lol.
I just went for the first time, I've never screamed like that before
sobbing cause i just found out this was a thing and now its closed.
I love the fact how the first zombie that came near him just walked away casually like nothing happened 😂😂😂
Thanks for the share. I hope they invest in a ride because this is like horror nights which isn't exactly new or spectacular. The makeup on the walkers is lackluster. I guess Nicotero needs to school Universal.
...Greg personally worked on these walkers...
+Kai Rubix
The ones walking around? They are not his best if so. 😨
Oh my gosh! I did this just yesterday and it was so scary! My little sister even cried 😂
4:58 TB to Sponge Bob episode "The Hooks"
5:11 THE HOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!
5:52 Hmmmmmmm
DONT TOUCH THE HOOKERSSSS would be much better

Military Dude: _GO GO!! HURRY!! RUN!! GO!!_
*Camera man walks slowly doesn't give a shit*
+Twiggster That's what I was thinking too. Everyone knows the first day there would be tons of press
Chesley Ramos This isn't even the first day. It's literally a *MEDIA PREVIEW* event. This is before it was open to anyone else, other than possibly Universal team members. Which makes the original comment so much more stupid.
