Ah! Listening again just now, I realised that what has been unfolding in awareness relates directly to what stood out to my heart the first time I listened to this. The topic has been 'naming'. The area of most deepening has been seeing that storytelling is naming. Defining is naming! Lol, that seems obvious, but I have been surprised. As always, anything you feel inspired to share about this is welcome Nabeel x 'The synchronicities' have been flowing fast on this anyway, but it was fun to realise just now that this has been occurring since this video.
Adam, the intellect, was the greatest of creations because of this power of 'naming'. But then he ate from the tree of knowledge and begun to think he was a thing in itself, apart from God. That is the 'original sin'.
Oh! That puts a different spin on it entirely actually. Ha ha! I was seeing with judgement, totally seeing the error in the wrong 'place'.. looking with the wrong eyes so to speak!! I'm surprised again, ha ha.. perfect! Naming and creation. I was even thinking today about the only error being misidentification, and yet I didn't see what I was doing with this.. THANK YOU! It's funny how habitual the urge to make things right and wrong, good and evil, is.
Yes, me too re the responses to others questions. I'm so grateful for this channel and it's followers. So helpful. I keep getting answers to questions I've had for years. And then, getting led beyond my own questions, as I listen to the videos again and again. This one, once again, is like hearing a new talk this time round. It's actually still astonishes me how wisdom words can stop often meet a mind wherever it is in perception with something helpful. It defies all logic that it can be so!
This is a great video - I always liked your descriptions of time and space. On another topic: just a suggestion for another video I've been thinking you should do (I realize you may be focusing on Ramana Maharshi and Nisargadatta lately, not Buddhism.) But Ken Wilber’s analysis of the different states of consciousness is one of the few theoretical frameworks that allows for both the soul (subtle personality in the subtle state of consciousness) and no-self (at the turiya/turiyatita state). It’s a fascinating theory.
Thank you for the suggestion. Honestly, I've never read Ken Wilber so not sure I can go into his work deeply. What I try to share in each video is a direct pointing out crafted with my own understanding and the teachings that made the biggest impact along the way.

I felt the same as I read Sri Nisargadatta's dialogues. The same quotes seemed to go deeper and deeper. It's like a spiral.
