The first time I heard this song - and all of the Biophilia songs - was during Bjork's live residency in Manchester in July 2011. At that point the only song that had been released was "crystalline" Everyone in the audience was hearing these songs for the first time. Mutual Core was the third or fourth song in the set, and there was a little moment of quiet while the musicians were setting up for the next song, when a man in the audience yelled out "FANTASTIC" and Bjork without missing a beat said sweetly into her mic "Thank you!"
Have you ever considered looking at some of her live performances? If so, I’d highly recommend looking at some of the more challenging tracks performed live: Pluto (Live from Cambridge), Hyperballad (Freak Mashup) - Live from Paris Olympia, Declare Independence- Live from Coachella. I am sure you’d also enjoy Undo and Unison Live from Royal Opera House (London). Keep up the good work. You’re always fun to watch 👍
Love this song. Also the video was a part of a collaboration with the Museum of Contemporary art in Los Angeles. I like how she always looks for ways to highlight different directors, styles and technology in her videos.
Next step in Björk science: Hollow! Behold the cell machinery in real time. Be sure to get the video with the explanatory texts. The song with the giant vehicle in the video is "Army of Me". If you want to expand reactions to other things besides music... Try mathematics. The channel _Numberphile_ is a long-time favourite, and perhaps a good start would be the video (eight years old) "The remarkable way we eat pizza". Yes, that is a mathematics video. (The actual content is 5:47 long).
You should listen to her recent stuff. Her single "Oral" with Rosalia is probably the most "pop"' song she's released in over 20 years. And her singles from Fossora are amazing. I've been listening to Bjork since the sugarcubes era. For all the folks who ask what it was like to be around when she was releasing "Debut" and "Post", my answer is always "listen to what she's releasing now. That's what it was like!"

There's a 16 bit remix of this song that goes even harder. Love it.
BIOPHILIA SUPREMECY !!! this album is top 3 of mine... Need to see moon, and thunderbolt AT LEAST from you
I second the "Moon" request. It's one of her most beautiful songs.
