Just a tip to those who want to test their tumblers for leakage: Before making any holes on the bottom Fill a bowl up with water. Emerge tumbler in the bowl of water, if the tumbler starts to fill up with water then you will know that the top isn’t sealed well & WILL leak if you add glitter/mixture.
So cute! I have a tip that may be helpful for snowglobe makers: at your local beauty supply store, in the hair coloring section, are plastic applicator bottles that come with a very, very sharp point. This have made filling my tumblers so much easier. I found mine at Sally’s a few years ago. 😊
Thank you I actually found them at dollar tree for 2 I paid $1.25 plus tax! I never even thought about Sally's if they run out that's a great back up plan.
You have the most technics and make the most beautiful cups. I have been watching you for along time and since then I have stepped out of my comfort zone.
FIX FOR LEAKING TUMBLERS AT THE RIM: Use the same UV epoxy resin hard type that you sealed the bottom with. Tape off slightly above the top and bottom of where the outer wall joins the rim of the tumbler. (You will be able to feel where they both meet with your finger nail). Paste a thin layer of the UV resin along the that section. Remove the tape and using a paper towel wipe any unwanted dripping of the resin away. Use the UV light on it for about 3 mins. Add another layer if it still leaks. I have done this to dozen of tumblers and it seals perfectly 👍
To help prevent the top from leaking use a hot tool for your holes. I’ve found the pressure from the drill causes slight cracks and that’s why the leaking from the top happens😢 happy crafting everyone - Kraftcrazy
So cute! Love the peekaboo style! If you plan on making more here's a couple of little tips for you or anyone else... Drill the hold the same size as a glue gun stick and cut a piece to fit in as a plug after. Drill 2 holes on the bottom...one for filling and another smaller one(on the opposite side of bottom)to help with the air suction that can sometimes make it hard to fill all the way. Dont use super fine or small glitter as it can lump up and become a floating mass in your solution. Chunky is the better choice. Add a good amount of glitter or shapes first before adding any solution. Shake it up to see if you've added enough. You can kinda tell if its enough even when it's dry. If you think there's too much you can always shake some out the larger hole you've made. Once you add your solution though, you will find it difficult to do so( and messy)...lol Happy crafting!
Quick tip to add glitter is using a funnel. I used to make a mess to. Starbucks cups are the best guaranteed to no leaks. Beautiful cup tho thanks for the tutorial 😊
You make such beautiful cups and you make it look so easy! As hard as I try, mine never turn out as nice as yours. Doesn’t mean I won’t keep trying though!! XO!!
You are the reason why I started making tumblers. I had scrolled past a couple videos of someone making them and I really had no interest until I came across one of your videos. You made it look so easy so I thought I’d give it a shot. Here I am two years later! 🤗
Hey Jessica! Thank you SO much for doing this tutorial, for including every step to make life easier, and for keeping it real about the possible leaking issue. I absolutely love the peekaboo style! Thank you for all you do- you inspire me so so much as a crafter, sweet lady!!! 💕
I rushed off and bought a bunch of these after you did your first one! I will have to try this for sure! Maybe not the liquid part , but it’s still cute!
I can't wait to make one of these!! It does make me a little nervous about them leaking but I saw that someone used the Gorilla Glue circles, I might try those.
I seal that top area where there’s a seam just above the area you have yours taped off, I do it with just a very thin layer before I start any of the drilling or filing, so far it’s helped me when I did a set of Mickey ears.

You are heaven sent!!!
This is the prettiest snow globe tumbler I have seen
I have sealed off my rims with liquid fusion in a precision tip bottle then finished it off. Worked like a charm with every one.
Thanks for this tip
