This may be interesting for someone: Rammstein used samples from the disk "Zero-G: datafile one" in Schwarzes Glas. Also other Samples from this disk were used during composing their second Album in songs: Sehnsucht, Bestrafe mich, Du hast
@@PureFred Rammstein seemed to have a blast preforming it live. At the time in 1994, they considered it one of their top songs and it was a frequent addition to their early setlists. The reason it wasn't included on Herzeleid is that Jacob Hellner thought the song didn't have a proper chorus.
@@enki2542 Is there an interview that I could read or watch where he talks about this? I also saw people mention that he briefly talked about Sadist in a recent interview but I dont know which one.
@@NHR_Music I don't know exactly which interview the Schwarzes Glas comment is from, but it's not one of the recent ones. The exact words (translated from German) are: "Jacob wanted to push us in a direction that we didn't like. This inevitably lead to us having our differences, but we're pleased with the revised final product and we stand behind it. He didn't like the, to date, unreleased song "Schwarzes Glas" (it's only on the demotape), because in his opinion it didn't have a proper refrain. But we'll see if we can't still make something out of it." However I do have the source for the Sadist comment. www.metal1.info/interviews/rammstein-jacob-hellner-herzeleid-producer/
Been listening to Rammstein for 20 years. This here is their best song. It's the most quintessential. I'm gutted that it wasn't released, but also that they really don't seem to acknowledge it at all anymore. It's omission from Raritäten is beyond me.
@federalrusya We're sure you can provide a source where he said that, right? Otherwise that's just made up and not true. Also: you realise that "Herzeleid" and "Du riechst so gut" were released in 1995? Richard wasn't an official band member for 26 years then.
@@ScotiaDiesel I already did. I strongly believe they made this their last song when it was rejected by the producer. The rammsteinest of all rammstein songs. Bonustrack on the last Album ever released.

Ne Mischung aus Weißes Fleisch, der Meister und das Modell.. und doch ein eigenständiges, echt gutes Lied. Hör dir, falls du es noch nicht kennst „Eisenmann“ an. Auch ne geile Demo.
My guy I just noticed your website has a mistake in it. The lyrics list one of the lines as „und unter masken wird es hart“ but the real lyrics is „und unter masken klüftet zart“ .
Feuerräder is better. ✌🏻 But Schwarzes Glass have a such potential... Too bad they never released this demo, not even on Herzeleid's 25th anniversary remastering.
@@RammWikiTV nevermind. Hey will also edit other songs like this demo from the solo and the last refrain or the Album and single versions from Mein Herz Brennt. Or the compete intro from Jeder Lacht and Spieluhr. These are the little things that messes some people up.
This would fit perfectly on Herzeleid!

Interesting one.
Reminds a lot of Der Meister, my most favourite Rammstein song.
a man of taste
Will never understand why this song wasn't released.
one reason is its difficult to perform live (i was wrong lol)

I hate how the riff at the end gets cut off, it sounded epic
I will never forgive Jacob Hellner for ditching this song
Tbh this is on level with Feueräder which is a CRIMINALLY underrated song
Feuerader is realy good but its better and maybe thats better than other Rammstein songs
Any of this 2 songs are better than anything Rammstein released after 2009
Such a banger
this song is just fire
que hubiera Sido de mi vida si no hubiera conocido Rammstein
I love tapping a glass in time with the sample of silverware clink.
Did anyone else notice that the guitar is sometimes very similar to the guitar in "der meister"? xD
they made Der Meister out of this demo. apparently Jacob Hellner (producer) considered the lyrics of Schwarzes Glas stupid haha

The main riff went to Deutschland 💀

The 1994 version is a little bit faster and longer without this fade out
