It’s Amazing that we can celebrate Pride with the BEST Parade in NYC, but Yes, it was a riot started by marginalized people fed up with being discriminated against that got us here. So Yes let’s Celebrate, but lets never forget the struggle! And also don’t forget all the members of the LGBTQ+ family globally that haven’t had their Stonewall riot yet, because they are being persecuted and killed, in countries that criminalize homosexuality!

anything Laverne has to say - I'm listening. A few years ago, for OITNB season 1 promos I caught wind of a trans actress and my mind was titillated. First interview I watched and she quoted bell hooks. YAAASSSS Queen!! Then I read some respectful decent of bell hooks that made me love her more.
My only complaint, and more of a desire, is that she would write. And write seriously. About the experience of being bodied, trans bodied, othered bodied.... Uhmhmmm she would blow my brain.
