This is actually one of the things I was hoping to see for a bit. It's nice to see both co-op stuff in general, and the return of this solo stuff that really pushes Grant in a novel way.
Actually, Tychus himself cost 0 supply, so you have 40 supply worth of outlaws and 60 supply of SCV

The title made me think it was Zerg Hex.
You can actually stole damage from active Void Trashers. You just have to attack them once in a while, and they will not shoot at fortress but instead go for attack and then awkwardly wait, so you could have gone with agroing both trashers and stitting buffing economy, also you have 60 supply free, because Tychous doesnt take up 10 supply. It were a great attempt. Also you can build third enge bay for upgrades for hp attack speed and other stuff. This mission is defenetly possible and you did great Grant!

he was at 1005 kills at 11:43, that is the last time that we see Blaze's kill count during the mission

I think it would've been possible with either Sam or Sirius instead of Nux. The psi storm didn't do much compared to the fire, and having 1000 damage explosives or tons of anti-air missiles would've helped a lot for the void thrashers.
I actually really enjoyed this. I wouldn’t mind it being formatted a little like the co-op competition that CtG hosts, where one mutator gets knocked out every time Grant loses.
It's cool to see all the types of games that are available. These videos are like a tour of content from the arcade, very nice for someone like me that's less familiar.
I was kind of hoping this would be 1v2 where you switched sides so you got those two guys getting revenge on you.

Blaze didn't purge half of the universe for this video to be called "mid effort"
Also, for the next episode of "Tychus and his pals purge the universe*, you may use the "-outlaw" or "-outlaws " cheat. It might cost you a lot of supply to get all the 8 pals, but I think it would be not only easier, but better and cooler.
'Dead of Night' could be fun with this setup.

Tychus can solo this challenge on the night zombie mission but just taking the chain fire upgrade on blaze. At some point, so many enemies are spawning that the fires are eternal and burn down everything.

outlaws out first before upgrades to finish those, you need all of those you picked including sirius to be able to do it as sirius has a small nuke.

Co-op videos (including solo co-op... so-co? ...so-con deez nuts) are still really good PvE content. Like, make no mistake, this was still definitely a challenge run, even if it was off-the-cuff and shorter than usual!
Maybe if it was the Rak-sheer it would be possible, but you had it, you jsut had the hardest mission to go slow

I just had a sudden neuron activation from looking at sgt Hammer portrait for the first time even tho i played Sc2 since release, I guess both me and the internet were too young then. It seems if starcraft 2 came out in the last couple of years and was actually popular there would be a lot of memes about her and how she's unfathomably based or something

My guess for kill count: Blaze got 129 in just the first fight. a guess of 2000 means that the very first pack of zerglings was just 5% of the total kills he would get for this map - which i do not believe! I'm gonna guess closer to..... 5 thousand seems fair. Theres tougher enemies than zerglings coming up so that's going to slow down the number - but the broodlings and infested terran are very flammable. It could go as high as 8 thousand?
I underestimated how quickly we'd get trashed.

Just FYI, you can solo push the objective in chain of ascention if you have solo mode engaged. This is probably true for any other two player required stuff as well. So if you really want to repent for your sins....
I wonder if going for rattlesnake's ultimate would have been better than getting nux(and his upgrades). Most of the mass of spawns are low hp, which could be easily killed by his AoE, and between stim and the speed boost on the revit, it would be able to hit very quickly.
For Tychus, the only thing that really matters is the armor shred against the objective. The gernade upgrade actually don't do much, even without upgrade I think it one shot the spam.
This is a curious set of mutator against tychus. It is very chanllenging at the start, when he lacks AoE, which in turn causes a time pressure problem. On the other hand, once you've gotten your AoE upgrades and some armor, they don't do much anymore.

Judging by the length of the vid and he took out the 1st tresher in 7 mins i would say he lost the mission so guessing total kills are irrelevant but it would be around 5k if he succeed

I feel like Rattlesnake isn't it? I'd say Nikara for healing and Sam for single target damage does a better job and Nux last for the clumps of air units. So we have Tychus for everything, Blaze for small stuff, Nikara to keep them alive, Sam for high value targets and Nux for more versatile AOE.
Also, isn't there a mutator for infested just spawning everywhere? Add that and exploding on death :P
Honestly with a skilled ally that might be possible to beat... or maybe not, idk
Nikara deals no damage. Kev does.
Granted, Nikara has a 25% damage boost, but the 15% attack speed has immensely more uptime, and Kev himself deals damage.
