Shop and pay can be annoying. But I have gotten amazing tips from customers. I am talking 15 bucks or more just by going out of my way to help them. Don't sleep on the shop and pay!
@Quanie Exactly! I got one for Target the other night for two items. It was a case of water bottles and some baby wipes. Super quick, total trip was about 3 miles. It was $7.50 but got a $10.00 tip on top. Nothing like shopping at Target with other people's money. 😄

Thank you Mike! I'm 64. Just started collecting social security. I have to bring in some serious part-time income to make a living. I avoided gigs like Doordash and Uber Eats for a couple of months because of the challenge of making $$ and wear and tear on my car. Just started with Uber Eats this week. Fascinating week of self-education between the two gigs!

I've noticed that I do get ridiculous after-delivery tips sometimes with UberEats, and I'm pretty sure a large part of it is what I have on my profile screen. Keep it honest. That's my #1 tip. Maybe you're saving up to start your own business or maybe you're trying to buy a house or whatever. As long as you're honest, you'll find people who will tip extra just to help you out.
True, I always take a picture when I leave the order at the door. I then write in the notes to have a great day or to enjoy their meal. It pays to be kind and honest.

There are fewer drivers for UberEATS, at least in my area. The orders seem to be a little slower than DD, but there's only like 4 people to take it. You're busy all night
They are killing me with this radar garbage now. I’ve gone from making $100+ a day in 3-5 hours to struggling to make $50 on eats. I don’t do ride share. I can’t lol we don’t get bonuses it seems on eats 😢
In Atlanta for Uber Eats it would appear that the idea of a recession has sunk in. Orders are way down during lunch. Way, way down. Most of the offers were useless anyway so it hasn’t effected pay yet.
Agreed. As an Uber Eats cyclist in the same area of ATL, it ain't what it use to be. I remember being able to average at least 40 - 60$ for lunch and between 100 - 125$ from dinner till midnight. I'd be fortunate now to even break 100$.😐
I’ve done several Safeway shop & deliver orders on Uber Eats, but at the end of the day it’s a huge time killer. So many possible shopping issues including waiting for the customer to get substitution approvals. Glad that Uber Eats has an option to not do these orders.
I didn’t start Uber eats because it wanted to pay me $6 for 12 miles and 35 minutes of time. I’m in Houston so I’m not sure why but no thank you. Wish I saw numbers like yours.
Just started doing ue last week, with 12 delivered orders with only $1 dollar tip. People dont leave the suggested tip. Also, i have done door dash %80 of the orders delivered have tipped me $100 over in only 23 orders.
Hey Mike. Love your informative videos. I have a QQ that no one has been able to help me, not even Uber Support. I have been an UE driver from the summer.. I used to see all boosts, surges and multipliers on the UE maps and receive promotions. However i asked Uber to add UberX in my driving preferences, because i wanted to try rideshare. However now when i only have Deliveries checked off, i get no UE promotions added to my earnings and dont see any UE multipliers.. I only UberX map and promotions.. Now when i do UE deliveries, i only get payed the fare, my tips and trip supplement... No more boost nothing.. How do I get that back.. Thanks,
Hey Mike i moved to a new area and have stopped getting any promotions or quests in this new area even though it is a populated and busy place have you had any experience with this?
Does acceptance rate REALLY affect your status do you think? Because thats my problem. If a ride is not worth my time/money it affetcts acceptance rate.
I have a question for you. I just signed up for Uber Eats but i dont see the work hub to where i can sign up for additional delivery items like Alcohol, etc. Do i need to do my first trip to see this?
All I get around 1pm is Walmart offers. I took one once and it was a nightmare. I had a 40 minute wait and ended up with a car full of groceries and 3 racks of water to a third story apartment.
I'm not super worried about losing my UE, so I use Para just for that app, out of the 3 I use. I literally use it just to be able to see, if it's a house or an apartment/ pin is good. 😂 I usually don't take apartment orders, unless it's like 2+ dollars over per mile. Unless I know it's an easy to navigate complex, or the pin looks specific.
1,75-2 usd a mile is best but I think that UE u can stay like everywhere to take the order so in my market that 1,25 up is better. But DD is 2usd a mile :)))
I work part time for Uber Eats in Miami, I notice that the drivers here each have 2-3 phones/Uber Eats app. They are taking all the orders while I am sitting around. I do not know how Uber allow this to happen? I thought we are only supposed use one Uber Eats app.

You would make more money working at McDonald’s for minimum wage where I live. They listed on indeed to get a bunch of new drivers, when the drivers they already had were barely making anything. They just want new people who don’t know how it goes to sign up, and it just makes it worse for every driver and customer, new and old. Now they have a commercial telling people you can just turn off the rides and do deliveries. So now we have a million uber eats drivers but no driver is making good money where I live.
I was a driver for Uber, and decided that I wanted to just do food delivery. I've done everything to try to get switched, but Uber ignores my requests, and everything I've checked on the app to be switched. What to do????
I had to go on chat and they had to switch my account that way. I had to do the verification process over again though. But try that. I only deliver food, no humans. No thx

I've noticed that, when I first go online, UberEats tends to spam me with all the orders nobody else was willing to take before I can get to the actual, good orders. For me, there are 5 sets of areas all along the South side of town that have plenty of restaurants and mid-to-high income housing (good tippers), so I don't mind taking orders from one area to the next there.
