My God, she was so good in Guiding Light... absolute superb acting. Kim Zimmer is still my favorite actress and always will be. I would have loved to see her in movies.
Kim talks about her wacky hair extensions in her book. She had done some promotional work for the extension company, so she thought she would wear them. This was Kim's first nomination, and she was up against heavy hitters, so she was not expecting to win. When she won, she said her thought was, "OMG, what have I done to my hair!" She is an incredible actress and her win was very well deserved.
One of the most memorable scenes ever on daytime. Prior to Guiding Light, loved Kim's version of Nola on the NBC soap The Doctor's after she took over the role after the great Kathleen Turner.

As a dedicated fan of Guiding Light I loved watching the character Reva Shane because you never knew what she was going to do next.
They showed the fountain scene at the Emmys, but Kim said THAT WAS NOT what she submitted for her Emmy reel. She didn't say what she submitted.
