OK so this is the first part of halter breaking a sheep, i will go through out the steps of training a sheep so that they are fantastic in the show ring!
I walk my Katidin Sheep every day. Usually going for a 4 to 5 mile walk. I use a dog's halter rather than a choke collar. My sheep (Rambo) does like to stop a lot to sample the vegetation but I carry a pocket full of COB and have trained him to know that I will stop every so often and he'll get a treat. Works well. He's definitely a conversation starter. Our walks take us on the streets and through neighborhoods and through forested woodlands. I have pictures on my facebook page.
