Have you ever had an issue with the heat not working after a coolant change? I'm wondering if I got air trapped in there somewhere. It isn't over heating though.
I haven't had that issue, but if the car is not over heating, my first guess would be the heater core. You may have a blockage somewhere keeping the coolant from flowing through the heater core. The heater core has a couple of hoses that pass through the fire wall. There are some connectors on the hoses. Maybe crack the connectors to see if it's airlocked?
Drain plug has a nipple on it that will take a 3/8 hose to put right in the bucket
Your cooling system for that truck is almost 21 quarts. I don't think you drained it all
