Ty so much for the captions, but just like every other video i viewed on soukaku there is no explanation about her signature weapon, which specifies EX attacks as its condition.
But do the "fly the flag" that get auto activated through other means that are not manually holding the EX special count towards the weapon? Does one activation of fly the flag give all 4 stacks of the weapon? Or are we forced to use 3 specials and then flag all manually in order to get that atk% boost from the weapon? As you said, how it is written in game just gives bare minimum info on buffs

2pc Effect - Energy Regen increases by 20%.
4pc Effect - Launching a Chain Attack or Ultimate increases all squad members' DMG by 15% for 12s. Passive effects of the same name do not stack.
and 2pc Harmone Punk
2pc Effect - 10% atk

Correct. Maybe the 2pc bonus could be Ice DMG or Crit Rate or whatever if the ATK is already capped but yeah the support set of choice is going to be Swing Jazz.

The rotation in your video is flawed. You will lose a sizeable chunk of dps with that rotation. A lengthy chain attack will leave Ellen barely enough stun time to do her dps.
Soukaku’s buff during chain attacks is actually detrimental to your overall dps. She takes too much stun time for it to be beneficial to use, leaving Ellen losing 30% of the daze dps window. I would actually advise you to trigger chain attack with Soukaku then swap to Ellen to get by the buff and use the maximum amount of dps window with Ellen. This grants the highest damage Ellen can do during the stun window but more importantly buffing everything in her kit, including her chain attack. People sleep on chain attacks from dps, but some of them have really high multipliers. Comparable to a mini Ultimate.

agree that if you can stun with soukaku fly the flag>ellen chain>end chain start burst, that is the ideal scenario, but i don't think it's correct to skip soukaku on a big enemy if you end up getting the stun with anby or lycan or whoever. assuming you get the stun with your stunner (either by mistake or because the numbers align in such a way that you would lose time by swapping to soukaku and initiating the stun with fly the flag), stun>ca soukaku>ca ellen>end chain is almost always enough time for at least c1>ult>s1>c3, often more if you get the freeze. anecdotally in training i'm getting higher dmg with soukaku ca>ellen ca>c1>ult>s1>c3 than with ellen ca>c1>ult>s1>c3>s1>c3

@@wigglediggledoo I have done extensive testing with soukaku to work around this. Basically, you always want to initiate chain attack with Soukaku. This seems daunting but is very easy to do, and can actually be done instantly without losing stun time. This is how you do it.
1. Get your Ellen maxed on flash freeze. With max stun time, you’re gonna need it.
2. Get 2 vortex stacks on Soukaku. Then swap to stunner.
3. Get an idea of how much daze your ex special does. If it’s 20 daze, save your ex special and use it when you reach 80 daze. If you leave it at that you will trigger chain attack.
4. (Very important step) Instantly swap to Soukaku as soon as you press ex special button on your stunner, double tap your special button and hold. This will result in her using 1 ex special to fill the last vortex stack and then use her rally. This rally is different as the stunner will have successfully filled up the daze, making it safe for her to use her skill, and her slamming the weapon on the ground is considered a heavy attack.
The chain attack will trigger as soon as she slams her weapon on the ground.
There is a trade off if you use this method. The energy regen 4 piece set gives 15% damage to the entire team for using chain attack or ultimate. This 4 piece buff won’t work by just triggering chain attack, however 15% damage boosts pales in comparison to 5 more second of stun window in terms of dps. Therefore, I’d advise using 2 piece energy regen and 4 piece anomaly set to consistently trigger freeze by the time Ellen finishes her chain attack or attacking with first combo. Freeze also literally stops the stun timer. The best combo for maximum damage with 6 flash freeze would be.
1. Full Basic combo
2. Double skill into third basic
3. Full basic combo
4. End with charge scissor for the next rotation.
You will most likely have energy to do another skill into basic. But it’s better to save that for the next double skill. Might make a video explaining all this.

oh interesting i didn't consider canceling the stun activation via raw swap to soukaku. yeah that seems pretty good then. have you tested this with lycan? his extra stun multiplier is a lot stronger than swing jazz damage buff. i'm not confident that it's worth losing 35% off the stun multiplier, or does his still trigger while he's hitting the stun cancelled enemy after you raw swap to soukaku?

Yes, especially at C6. You'd want to play her with Lycaon and another support (but to buff Soukaku) like Lucy, Nicole or Rina. It's arguably possible to make a disorder team too, but probably not ideal with the current roster.

Your total atk before the buff is what you see on the characters build menu. The ATK% during combat will be taken by that number.

i dont understand how soukaku with 2 stacks sometimes have 3 at the end without any movement from her. I also was expecting the rotation or tips to stack 3 more efficiently in battle
