- In January of 1969, UFOlogist Donald Keyhoe addressed the National Press Club as follows:
"We are being observed by some type of device which is ahead of us far ahead of us and is probably controlled by a highly Advanced Superior Civilization now this is a conclusion which I personally have stated and is shared by some members of our [NICAP] Board of Governors and advisers, not all of them, but it has reached to the point where many people in the Air Force have
the same conclusion.
In fact the Air Force at one time had a top secret estimate that these things were interplanetary spaceships so you will see that this instead of being a uh subject for ridicule and a big joke actually is a
serious matter which could affect the
lives of all of it I think that this
this report is extremely flimsy uh it's
such a meager uh operation it evades a
number of cases in which the Air Force
itself said there was no EXP ation I'm
going to introduce first Dr McDonald for
a brief statement and Dr Saunders and
then we'll throw it open for question it
began to hit me that Dr Condon has
apparently not read his own material
very carefully and that would again I'm
afraid be consistent with his General
remoteness from what really went on in
the project I say that because when we
tallied the first of all the 59 major
cases numbered and identified uh in the
report uh we found that the percentage
of unexplained cases uh with which the
Condon committee is left at the end of
their scrutiny is five to six times
larger than the percentage of
unexplained that Project Blue Book Air
Force Project Blue Book uh has been
talking about for the last 10 years and
yet what is his principal recommendation
the principal recommendation that Dr
Conan has come through with is there's
nothing of scientific interest that
warrants further attention on the part
of the federal government here in any
major way he recommends dropping the
whole problem I am one scientist uh who
has been forced farther and farther to
the con to the position that the
Extraterrestrial hypothesis but I
underscore that word hypothesis is the
most probable hypothesis I'm ready to
throw it over when I see something that
categorically rules it out uh but uh
this is this is my
position I saw a satellite man and it
was going across the sky and it flashed
three times at me and zig tagged and
whizzed off man and I saw
it that was a UFO beaming back at
you they they they they have got bases
all over the world now you know they've
been coming here ever since
1946 and they have been living and
working Among Us in vast quantities ever
since the government knows all about
them what are you talking
man well you just seen one of them
didn't you hey man I saw something man
but I didn't see it working here you
know what I mean

@@TomOwensUAP I’ve been going up and down this rabbit hole for years too, and I’m seeing more and more of yesterdays conspiracies around this subject becoming todays truths. There are more believers now than there have ever been, although depending on how this thing works and what it really is… only time will tell if that’s a good thing or not. 😂 I appreciate the response chap, and thanks again!
@@CarlWByrne it HAS been a long roller coaster ride... and even after the whistleblower congressional testimony I find that any lull in events or news has most humans going right back to sleep... almost forgetting what they had learned the year before. Neuralyzer?
For what it is worth, my experience has been positive... all about being nudged and pushed to learn science, mathematics and ancient history.
@@TomOwensUAP I hear you chap! Attention spans are smaller than ever these days and even subjects like this seem to fall out of view for those that aren’t fully invested. Still… I do understand it from their POV… It’s hard to stay fully “in” on this, especially as it leads people to question every piece of the reality that they have been sold, and that to most is not just hard work, but almost impossible to fathom, especially with the world how it is right now. Why worry about the “fringe what if’s” when reality is scary enough… although I often wonder if “they” are the only real means of getting us out of this mess sometimes… or maybe they are the cause of it… time may tell!
There are those that come for the “new episode”, and those that are searching for another piece of the puzzle that may help to increase their knowledge, open their eyes further, and fill in some gaps to their narrative. I say “their narrative” because mine is my own and I’m sure yours is too. We see and link things together that make sense to us on some level, justified by what we have collaborated inside our lexicon of knowledge, intuition and experiences… and that holds true for either side of the fence here, skeptics and believers alike… and for me… You have provided me with older pieces of this puzzle I never even knew existed that have connected dots and opened entire new pathways of thought, and I am extremely grateful for that!

What seem to be new terms, i.e. extra-terrestrial hypothesis, or unexplained aerial phenomena, were really coined decades ago back at least into the 1960s, IMO.
Dave, good morning. Yes, in fact I've seen the word "extraterrestrial" in newspapers from the mid 1880s... and "extraterrestrial life" mentioned as early as 1889 associated with a Paranormal Convention in Paris held in September of that year.
In his book on ETI and the Catholic Faith, Paul Thigpen reads back written letters from early philosophers using the term "Extraterrestrial" which I assume was translated from Latin. @@TomOwensUAP
