Planet 9 isn’t a 2024 discovery. They’ve been talking about a “9th planet” for a while now. I heard about this some years ago.
The book came out in 1969 or so, if I remember right.
It's been talked about since 1864. They once thought Pluto was plant nine or "X", but obviously that theory didn't pan out.
That's not what this video is telling you. Nobody said a 9'th planet is a new conspiracy theory. It's saying that mathematically there's other celestial bodies that orbiting the sun that has a trajectory which doesn't make any sense unless there's a huge 9'th planet affecting them. Measurable data, that's the point of this video. There's measurable data to back up the theory now opposed to earlier.

You have to be really careful with those "five sigma" claims, they're only as good as the assumptions that go into the statistical model and so can be incredibly misleading to the public. There are *always* assumptions that greatly simplify reality in order to make these calculations. So the five sigmas really means there's a one in 3.5 million chance there's not a planet 9 or that the assumptions are faulty. 3.49 million of that could be due to the latter.
How do they know it isn't just a ripple effect of a passing star, black hole or rogue planet?
