Just a teaser nick. I’m an old school plasterer, and yes I did run some electrical points for somebody once many years ago, successfully. And when I saw the room you had to work in with all those boards missing, I chuckled, I’ve worked in rooms like that only plastering. Try that. All that said nick love your videos, true professional. All respect.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Naughty - the part 6 smokes alarms you can wire in twin and earth, and though correct that the part 1 communal system needs FP, it should be enhanced FP as it's all escape route. What Mitch stripped is standard FP and doesn't comply.
I always wonder in these instances who signs the design cert. Electricians don’t really know what they are doing unless trained in fire alarms. It’s a different thing making it work and been compliant
Great vid Nic ... it must be about time for a holliday vidio err maybe you could go to the south of france? anyway thankyou for keep going you briliant.
Check out the Huepar 902CG Laser Level before going for the Milwaukee. I've seen many more on my new site than the standard DeWalts, (which I have) and they look very durable and have USB charging
Nick, any update on the ADHD meds? Appreciate it’s not my business but I’m thinking about getting the test too as I believe my weight is affected by the condition. I noticed your weight has gone down a lot since you started meds. Maybe unrelated
yoof of today got it so easy, you wanna try wiring the fire alarm in pyro (mineral insulated copper cable) .Wonder how many of today's sparks even know how to terminate the stuff.
Times change, it’s about being more efficient with your time. Probably a lot of new skills that the younger generation can do that we can’t. It’s about having perspective.
Installed loads of it in late sixties when I served my time it was the goto for hospital alarms and boiler houses.clipped every 6 inches with copper clips, brass screws and fibre wall plugs😢.
I would never make make money as domestic spark I way over engineer projects my nest door neighbour is a domestic spark and has many times told me he would have me on his books because ofmy ethics but the amount of time hit would take to do a install he would be out of pocket
12:39 - Nick had to spend an hour tidying up to make the site safer because other trades lifted and flipped floorboards all over the place, leaving big nails sticking out which is very dangerous and can cause serious injuries.

I was cleaning up ! Not eating or on my phone lol , oh and Jen Sean is getting sacked for agreeing with you hahaha
So good hearing you say BOUGHT not brought🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yep FP200 is heavy as hell, we have a 250m drum of 3 core+e we use for smoke alarms. Good tip with the round boxes and stuffing glands!
Great video. A lot of hard dusty work. The traffic warden would probably say oooh knipex and thank you 😊.
Good content with a bit of humour works every time Nick.
Hultafors represent! Also, you can replace the lead by pulling the clicky tab off and then putting a new one in, just like regular pens.

Nick I know what you mean about tidying up after other tradies. I always hated doing it when installing security stuff. But I always did it.

Itd be a lonely place otherwise 🤟🏻
Great video Nick
Sorry I forgot one thing nick, it was pyro , a tease but I did it.👍👍
A new Bosch laser just came out (which should be more rugged b.t.w.). Just teasing of course.
Wouldn't be surprised if the skip outside ended up with a parking ticket 😆

Only on twin flex system. Ins and outs
I only ever do conventional systems :)

Dude that which you speak of is just basic site safety. :)

Worked on it once when i was working with a spark, i dont care what anyone says, but its a skill on its own!! 😂
Times change, it’s about being more efficient with your time. Probably a lot of new skills that the younger generation can do that we can’t. It’s about having perspective.
Yeah I still have my potting tools
I was brought up on pyro love the stuff!

Day 3 - what happened to days 1 and 2? 😂
There is nothing wrong with standards. The standard you walk past is the standard you except
Aren't you meant to use fire rated cable clips for FP200 to comply with fire regs? 17:01
It's a metal staple above fire rated plasterboard
Every 300mm
❤❤😮😮
Where is your gloves you will pay for it in the long run

Nice feller you're working with. Have you checked out his mum yet?
What a clickbait title! Looks like any normal domestic job lol!
