Enjoyed your instalation video! Very educational. It took me much longer to install my tachometers on my 521's since I'm not a real mechanic. It's great to learn from others. Keep your videos a coming.
Thanks!! That's what I love about UA-cam. You can learn anything.
Have a suntune in a 68 442 I just bought def planning on keeping it thanks for the instal video wasn't hooked up when previous owner LS swapped it
Cool, glad the video helped!
Nice professional job. Well done and it looks like it belonged there from the factory.
Thank you sir!
@@ProjectTimeGarage your welcome and the "warts" are completely gone too, lol.
@@dgiorgi1725 LOL, good to know!
I like it sir. Nice job man.
Awesome, thank you!
Great job on the details. I would have liked to have seen how you spliced the blue wire into the existing bullet connector. Did you crimp on a new contact? I like that you kept the original boot. Nice touch! It's nice that your truck already has a brake light switch at the pedal. Slightly older 521's had a pressure switch at the top of the splitter on the firewall.....the one right near the little light that you spliced into.
I actually wrapped the new wire and soldered it to the existing connector. I wanted a solid connection that could easily be removed later if needed.
@@ProjectTimeGarage Good call on the soldering.
Great explanation of the install! Last tach I installed was on my 2dr Corolla back around 1983. Good call too about setting the calibration to 4 cyl!
Thanks Uncle Mark!! I'll admit, before this I hadn't installed a tach in almost 10 years.
@@ProjectTimeGarage Did you ever install a vacuum gauge? They were also popular. Had one in my 68 Satellite Sport. The more vacuum you could achieve, the less fuel you were burning! Mine had a outer ring with mpg that you would adjust to what you were trying to average. (Your best mpg)
@@unclemarksdiyauto I've definitely used them for tuning. I keep my trusty vac gauge and my dwell meter in the ignition drawer of my box. Oh, and a points file since I work on so much junk. Also, I sent an email to you earlier today, fyi.
I want that shirt without the fiat tires but have 71 & the words Motorized Wheelbarrow. The mirrors are different but that’s fine. I would buy a couple.
Deal!! I'd like to make a run of these shirts anyway. I LOVE that phrase. Give me a few days and I'll get some made. If it's OK, I'd like to give you a shout out in the video where I debut the shirt.
😎🤗 can’t wait & will give one for Dad for Christmas. Can never get it back but excited to be reminded of the good ole days. I like the color you used for it on the shirt & I wouldn’t change it.
Your going to have so much fun with your Motorized Wheelbarrow & that will be your mascot. You might need to make a new channel just for it. 😂 You can take it to events & that to promote your channel. I think others will like it too.
If your ever interested & in your future you can come show off your Motorized Wheelbarrow at the Cache Valley Cruise’n in Logan Utah to have fun & promote your channel selling merchandise. It’s a lot of fun for others to get together & to show their cars. They been doing it for 39 years in July & next year for 40yrs they will be giving away two cars to one lucky winner. To find out go look it up. They give away a classic car each year but you need to buy tickets for the drawing. It’s the biggest one in Utah & people all over comes. It’s a car show with all kinds of fun events & a band comes. I know of a guy who helps out with it & he’s a UA-camr. DIY Love Life & has things on the Cruise’n. I never meet him in person yet & we live in the same Valley, he just started his channel last year. Matt’s off-road recovery got a bunch of new subs when he was here last year. You’ll be known for the Motorized Wheelbarrow.👍 I’m glad to pass that on to someone to run with it & have fun. It’s just one year older than I.
It’s good to meet ya Bryan & my name is Kerry & I’m from Utah. You can shout me out how ever you want & I’m no UA-camr but I do like to give others support & ideas.
Guess what I did???? project-time-garage.creator-spring.com/listing/ptg-motorized-wheelbarrow
You know how to make a grown man cry & that’s awesome! I’ll have to get some & I hope you sell a bunch. 👍
sweet
Thanks!!
Hello. Just watch your vid. Have the same tach I installed on my 70 Chevy C10. What’s the LED bulb # you replaced the old one with. Thanks.
It's found at SuperBrightLEDs.com - The bulb is a 194 COB in warm white. Very high quality LED bulb that should last forever.
Thank you. So warm white? Yours illuminated greenish? Or is that just the video making it look green?
