I bought the badlands in july 2021. First year model and it has been 100% reliable until now. Fantastic car. It is rare to have a first ever year model working so well without any issues. Ford built it well.
@@mercreconmpg depends on many things. The mode i drive Normal or Eco, the season i drive (in winter the mpg decrease much more), the wheel i have (winter tyre, 4 season, pressure) and the way i drive (more acceleration). The Bronco 2.0 has been designed to go in difficult roads. It has its most power 250 hp 270 lbs/ft at low rpm around 2200rpm, so it is very powerful for the weight of the vehicle (it is a subcompact but the shape and look makes it a far bigger car). It has torque so be better in off road condition but of course use more gas than a normal city car like rav4 and crv or hrv. BUT if you want to get low mpg you can use the eco mode, it limits the turbo at low rpm and you can see definitely the mpg increasing immediately. Personally i don’t care that much of the gas consumption and i only watch it when i am low in gas and i search a gas station. In this specific case i could possibly activate the eco mode. Most of the time i stay in normal mode and i enjoy my car power.. thr Bronco Badlands is between 21-26 mpg, you can possibly go higher if your driving habit is not rugged, you are in summer season, eco mode is activated you can get higher than 26 mpg. I have seen it by testing it on highway. But mostly i am between 21-26, and i am fine with it. If you want a car that can do 800km /900km with a full tank, the bronco badlands 2.0 is definitely not the car you need. It is much more 550km/600km range ( i never tested up to no gas on the highway but i have seen a video and there is maybe only a 30km range when you are at 0 gas left). The max is probably around 660km but you put gas before that. If you want the most range the ford escape hybrid will beat these numbers easily for sure. But the bronco Badlands 2.0 is a very fun vehicle, strong NOT boring, with good interior and technology. I love it. I don’t care about saving 10 liter of gas. I had 9 l/100 with my old And good Pontiac (Toyota) vibe which was half the power (131 hp) of the bronco sport 2.0 (250 hp). On highway i get the same result even less with Eco mode. But on city i am much more around 11.5 l/ 100 with my driving habit. And more in winter with snow and ice. Lol.
Good video but you forgot to mention the Off Rodeo benefit. I told every salesperson I spoke with I was absolutely not going to buy a vehicle with a three cylinder engine. Odd numbers of cylinders are inherently flawed, and many manufacturers have had problems trying odd cylinder configurations. I am pleased with my Badlands. When you say more power with the 2.0 engine, that is an understatement. It's really fast!.
@@ofcbob6391 The four cylinder 2.0 in the Bronco Sport only has direct injection and is turbocharged. It's quite different from the three cylinder 1.5 which has both direct and port injection and is also turbocharged.
Bronco Sport Badlands is a very capable vehicle compared to Subaru and Toyota. Please stop the misinformation about Subaru’s CVT transmission overheating. I have watched a number of UA-cam videos with various Subarus being put through various off road challenges and the CVT never overheated. The Toyota Rav4 TRD did however.
It might be the cheapest on paper. But when I was out looking for a small AWD the Ford dealerships had them jacked up way high along with the attitude of how dare you ask the price. Nissan Rouge is a better choice even though I am not a Turbo fan.
My local Atlanta area Ford dealership is adding $799 for a brake lamp module that makes the top brake lamp pulse 3 times instead of being steady on when you apply brakes. Who needs that? And their Doc fee is nearly a grand. No wonder they have nearly 40 right now baking under the summer sun. Do away with those stupid "mark-up" items and discount the Sport about $4K to move them off the lot.
Trailblazer is not capable off-road. And I also didn't like that I used a higher priced one. However it was a vehicle that I had personally driven, and was excited about....So You're right, but I'll do better next time. Thanks for subscribing
I just bought a 2024 Badlands, because I wanted the 2.0. same as my wife's Maverick and really like the engine, plenty of power and getting 30mpg ...

Is 30mpg what you average with the 2.0? I have an escape with the 1.5, and I am looking to get out of it and into a Bronco sport.

This Badlands trim you are showing us here has a one inch lift over all the other Bronco Sport trims.
I’m interested in what the 2025 refresh is going to bring to this. The escape interior with this body style would take it to the next level
You and me both
Thannks for the review. I choose the 2.0 and Iike the Badlands equipment package.

Does the 2.0 have dual injection (both port and direct) ? I know the 1.5L turbo does.

What about the backseat for roadtrips?
11:45 It DOES NOT HAVE wireless Carplay and Android Auto.

Thankfully, my dealership doesn’t do that. We advertise $3000 in dealer discounts plus there’s rebates and 0% financing at least right now.

Subscribed. But if you say cheapest 4x4 prove it and review the cheapest, not a $46k model. Also, I believe the trailblazer is less expensive (26.4k).

Sounds good! Appreciate the reply
Typical industry bullchip
Thanks for Commenting. Typical cynical response.
Another waaaay overpriced car……. Dealers and manufacturers won’t learn.
Why Polestar?
