To be honest I have never heard of the hospital carrying only size one diapers! Preemies are born there so they have them to fit them as well. As a mother of five and expecting my sixth....the less you take the best!
Thesorandomchannel yep, the less you take the more they give you including formula and diapers. Blankets, hats, desitin, bath stuff, even toiletries for mom and pads.
I don't think she over packed at all, I have 3 onesies, 2 sleepers, and matching hats, socks, and scratch mitts for each outfit. However, the q tips, full pack of diapers, and nursing pads are a bit unnecessary, but whatever makes her feel comfortable.

I think I slightly over packed as well but I packed a lot of onesies because you need different sizes and backups incase she gets the two days worth of onesies dirty
Anyone can pack however they want and just so you know anything can happen and you could be there longer than expected I was there 5 days because my baby was born with a high temperature and I didn't expect that

But I really don't know whether I should take warm clothings with me, since I'll be giving birth in the middle of May which is usually springtime in Algeria (North Africa) but it is also the most unpredictable season, like you literally can't expect if it would rain or be sunny at all... But even if it won't be so sunny or hot outside, some people told me that I should cover my baby and keep them warm anyways, so I'm confused, if it's warm should I take warm outfits or switch between warm and cold?
so question do you get a list of what the hospital provides you with when before when you choice a hospital? or you just ask? because I had no idea what the hospital gave out the first time and some people get some cool things. like that spry for pain and itchy I can't remember the name of it. pads mesh undies and things.

I was able to cut both my sons and my daughters finger nails in the hospital, it really just depends on where you are, my son was born in MA and my daughter was born in NC.
Little Lovee not all the women are able to breastfeed immediately after birth and some can't breastfeed at all, ever. the pacifier is ideal to calm down babies, especially newborns
