Lyrics:
You were such a good thing, but now look at what you’ve done
Today I woke up with a chewed up bleeding tongue
I can’t believe how bad you got, we used to work week by week
But I can’t continue with the blood stains on my sheets
I’m mangled and chewed,
I’m helpless and I’m new
Like a newborn baby since I walked away from you
And that day I didn’t know
Nor understand as they took me,
Hauled me away,
That day that you shook me
Man, you took me off this earth
I didn’t know that I’d been gone
I didn’t know I died and woke
I didn’t know how long
But now that I am back
I’ll never reach for you again
How could you almost take my breath
I believed you were my friend
I believed you were my friend
Drugs deceive me
I don’t need their promise
Drugs deceive me
How could you promise sanity
How did I live, but I go on
Awake yet asleep, it felt right
But it was so wrong
How did I get through months and months
With only you
You waited to do this
You had to be so cruel
I’m mangled and chewed,
I’m helpless and I’m new
Like a newborn baby since I walked away from you
And that day I didn’t know
Nor understand as they took me,
Hauled me away,
That day that you shook me
Drugs deceive me
I don’t need their promise
Drugs deceive me
Man, you took me off this earth
I didn’t know that I’d been gone
I didn’t know I died and woke
I didn’t know how long
But now that I am back
I’ll never reach for you again
How could you almost take my breath
I believed you were my friend
I believed you were my friend

Wow!! "..and for your doctoral thesis you will spend the next three years analysing "Seroquel" by Scott and MER".... A fucking tour de force! In truth, I had to close my eyes and just focus on the music as it was D E N S E !!!!! This will need enormous amounts of listening-to in order to unravel it, but well bloody done 2 u both! Always classy..
Thank you for listening Jim! :)
U.K.-like
I hate that poison
Wow wait you really got Danny Carey to do drums for this song?
