Very interesting, how'd you change settings after the update? Cuz for me i dont have the initial launcher when i run the game after the next-gen update
You have to activate that separately, ua-cam.com/video/jaPt2hI8D_4/v-deo.html at 0:45 I show how to do that :)
The performance should be closer to 60 FPS. Do you have the High Resolution Texture Pack installed? It's a free DLC on Steam store but is known to cause huge FPS drops on the Deck.
Hello, no, I don't have this mod, it's basically installed and ready to go... but with maximum settings
@@FreddysGamingBenchmarks It's not a mod it is literally DLC that will autoinstall when you install the game if added to your account.
Fallout 4 runs phenomenally good on the steam deck, especially if you use the mod which detaches the physics from the frame rate, i run all medium settings with godrays turned off and I'm hardly even passing 12w at 40fps, really enjoying the experience!
Yes, I think so :) I don't make best settings videos, but show real performance insights into games, without performance limits :)
@@FreddysGamingBenchmarks i enjoy that about your videos, as i can see where the wattage will be at its highest i can guess what it'll be like optimised to my liking, love your content mate, really insightful!
I play on high settings on lcd deck, and get 60fps at native resolution, usually ill actually limit the TDP to around 10 watts. and cap fps to 40 though, and if I want even more, then I cap tdp at 6 or 7 watts and cap framerate to 30, at those settings I got around 4 in a half hours of battery life
If I limit the FPS the game becomes very stuttery. How did you do that?
@Flo.891 it may be because v sync is on in game settings, so you will have to bring up the launcher in fo4 and make sure to disable vsync when you have v sync on and then also limit fps in steamdeck it's trying to double vsync and causes massive stutters
@@michaelwest4594 Oh ok. Thx! I thought you can't turn off V-Snyc in settings. But I'll try it out.
I always show here in my videos without limits :) so that I can compare according to OS or game updates :) purely for gaming, I would rather lock the fps and adjust everything more :)
Can you try Fortnite? steam deck OLED
Fortnite won’t work because the anti-cheat blocks Steam OS
I don't have Windows on my Steam deck, sorry
