I think this next gen is mostly for consoles to benefit . DF explained on their video . For PC another of the many lies Todd has said. By the way, don't have high hopes for TES VI - it will be crap.

Well, it does break mods that improve performance and a mod that lets you play at high FPS without physics bugging out. So for many people it runs worse.
textures never a problem in video games from computational load standpoint. so that's not impressive at all, modders did better, and bethesda have just destroyed fallout 4 modding ecosystem :(
@@mertuito4543 They didn't change any textures or anything graphics related other than adding widescreen support which is much worse than a mod that adds it.

No, that's just because it's random. Same with grass in all Bethesda games. You can never have those be consistent across two sessions. They didn't touch the visuals at all.

Fallout 4 next-gen update are new Armor and Weapon Enclaves new , Makeshift Weapon Pack , Halloween Workshop , and bugs fixes AND bug fixes for Creation kit as well. and there nothing new in world bruh dont get hype. in return new update breaks on old mods like Fallout 4 Script Extender known (F4SE) unfortunately.
@@kestrel7714The enclave stuff wasn't new... It was separate creations that released years ago made into one with enclave skins.
Plus the x02 and hellifre have low quality meshes than the ingame power armors p(t45, t51, t60 and x01) that look more updated.

My only question is how were you able to run the mod the disables the fps limit? The only version I know of requires f4se to work, and that doesn't work on next gen yet. I run the same settings as you but the next gen update required me to uninstall my f4se related mods so I had to pull my mod that unlocks my fps.

I am seeing a diffrence on my 3600 non x, holds 60 much more often even in diamond city
So, I though the game looked the same, but then I changed the quality of the video from 1080p to 4k and the game looked a lot better! :)
I'm genuinely surprised they didn't try to sell this as a standalone "special" edition.

I would argue that this update was made just to annoy the London mod.
This comparison doesn't make much sense since pc update only adds widescreen support, some in-game content and minor bug fixes. It's not a remaster and designed for consoles for most part.I installed vanilla yesterday and played 5 hours or so, for 9 yr old game it looks and performs great.
fortunately on my computer, which is almost as old as me, I always set everything to medium or even medium-low, so I have no problems with the games running.

I don't see any difference at all.
I had the problem (AMD Graphics) i had to turn Vsync on and Chill on because the game runs too fast.
I hat an invisible elevator at Vault 111. No F4SE . So many mods do not work.
Problems downloading some creation club files.
I noticed a huge improvement in one crack on the road.
Seems the high end pc's were uneffected but its boosted the performance on lower systems and consoles a lot
Didnt Fallout4 have a 60fps cap/lock for physics? Did it ever get (officially) removed?
Also, how are the load times? It originally came out just when SSDs were slowly starting to go mainstream, so it was tuned with hdds in mind...
No joke. This game was in great need of an actual update for its loading times and its physics speed, but Bethesda is too lazy.
How long are xbox one and ps4 be the current gen and ps5 / xsx be nextgen.....

Original shows much more detail than the next gen update. Its a big stuff up. Not only the PC. XBox was badly affected too.

I think this update is mainly for console players in mind.
It's faster at 60fps which feels better and the resolution has been bumped up too.
Ark did great with their next gen update but this is just like mods where better

Very little improvement FPS in next gen, but what so disappointed in side of thumbnail? I haven't played that game before
The update added only a miniscule amount content(Most of which already existed as official paid mods), didn't improve the visuals, game runs exactly the same - poorly, broke mods(which beside the TV show are the only thing keeping the game relevant), fixed only 16 insignificant bugs whereas a community-made patch fixes thousands of bugs and mistakes. No update at all would have been preferable to this.

They didnt change anything graphically for the P.C. It's for PS5 and XBOX to finally get 4k 60 fps. You know, that thing i could do on my mid range PC 5 years ago( shakes head in consol). At least they didnt charge money for the consol upgrade. Many would have( Looking at you TLOU2 ).
Corporate needs you to find the differences in these two versions of the game...

In the two sections where it shows fullscreen original and switches to next-gen, pause and use the '' keys to framestep forward and backward, then you can do an A/B comparison and realise there is absolutely _no_ difference, at all, whatsoever. None. There's bigger difference between each strand of hair on your head than there are in these two releases.

Loading times are still horrible too, and that's the one thing I thought they'd address in a "Next Gen" update... Every time I see "Enter the Commonwealth" on a door I groan and go grab a snack while the game loads for 3 minutes. I have a better PC than used in this video with a Gen4 nvme btw
