Nick's advice on just doing it is truly an amazing philosophy. Your own work might suck for a bit but you learn and keep getting better. I loved that advice!!! Thanks Nick and the actors process!!
It took me a while to get into this interview because it was very casual but I think that has to do with me coming from a professionally trained perspective. As a "professional" we want to think we have an advantage, and maybe we do to a certain degree. But we are all in this together and sometimes we don't see the joy in the everyday life of being a performer because we are pushing so hard for results. I think Nick does see the joy in it. It is his zest for life, his bravery in deciding to cast aside his other pursuits to commit himself to acting that is the real message behind this episode of The Actor's Process, in my opinion. Nick is absolutely right, and in the profound words of Britney Spears "DO someting!" Thanks dude. :)
By the end of the day, presence or absence of initial professional training does not matter. Some people are trained, and some are anyway talented. If it's yours, it finds you no matter where you are and what you do. Great job Nick!
First off, very entertaining :) Second, loved how Nick talked about just doing the work and creating all of the time. I feel this way going to auditions relentlessly and working on things when not "knowing" where it will end up.

***** Let me know when you start making some real dough. I'm kinda trying to see betweeen the lines of this whole caper....In other words, I dont know whats real, and whats not.

He is not an actor. lets just all agree on that first. He is a random UA-cam guy with no training making random things that very luckily went half viral. That doesn't make you an actor. He's a armature directer with no real experience in the entertainment world. I see thousands of these people pass through with a good internet show that can be viewed by anyone at any time for free, go into a professional tv environment and belly flop because its no longer their small show, its a production company's show and people have to watch it at a specific time.
Lmao and eyet despite all that the guy has gotten more views and made more money of a handful of productions than you ever will in your lifetime. I somewhat understand where you are TRYING to come from and I agree that on youtube luck is a factor... but even beyond the luck there needs to be SOMETHING within the content to make it interesting. There are LOTS of talented people on youtube who the algorithm never picks up and I agree Nick got lucky in that respect but that doesn't by any means mean the guy is without talent. Your argument implies that all the people within any modern TV production are their by PURE FUCKING TALENT alone which is utter bullshit. There are plenty shitty actors in the spotlight because they 'got lucky' in a one off production or because daddy is in a high place and opened the right doors for them. Don't pretend Hollywood and daytime TV isn't full of the same level of talentless fucks as youtube is lmao. I understand this is an 8 year old comment but fuck it, my dude deserves to be defended regardless of how long ago you said this.

***** Oh Hell yeah it helped, thank you again!
Everyone's journey is different as an actor. I really like that. Congrats on doing your own thing Nick, I'm glad it paid off!
Best episode yet, Nick you are a legend. Gonna take on the advice about just doing it.

"Just start it and be willing to suck". Best advice ever.
Thanks Nick - your story inspires me to just go for it.
