Thanks for this review, it convinced me to buy one and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Took it only up to 500m range so far, but it performs.
I have an old Leupold 12 - 40 scope. I wish it had more power but it is an excellent scope for hunting. I DO like the the Bushnell T series scope. I have Bushnell Elite ERS and LRTS scope for competition and hunting respectively. They are EXCELLENT scopes for the money and I have no doubt this spotter would be just as good.
I like Bushnell Elite scopes. I have two of them, one for competition with an H59 reticle and one for hunting with a G3 illuminated reticle. I also have a '90s Leupold folded light path spotter and the glass is likely not as good as this new Bushnell Legend spotter.
Do you still have this spotter? I was wondering if you could maybe do a video of this showing targets out to distance I’m a avid shooter and hunter and can’t seem to find anyone doing a video of showing this spotter showing targets/ animals at distance it would be greatly appreciated especially for looking at animals at a mile or over with spotting and stocking. Thank you for you’re time and excellent videos!
Yes I do and I am filming a video this weekend comparing the Bushnell, Leupold Mark 4, Burris Signature and Vortex Razor HD spotter. Straight and angled eyepiece considerations. Thanks
@@XRING thank you I greatly appreciate the content you put out and the expert opinion/advice. Thank you for putting video’s together and the time you spend.
For now I am looking to use this out to 500 yards. Does it work with for seeing the mirage and bullet trail? I know you have a longer range out to 1000, when is where I want to eventually get to. Does this scope work well out to 1000? Beyond? Thanks for all the hard work on the videos, I know what it takes. I have gone through a lot of your content, and come back to it more than once. It is a huge help!!
My pleasure Dave. I still have this unit and use it regularly at the 1k yard range. You will be able to see mirage and bullet trace for sure. The only time I noticed a discernible difference between it and my Leupold Mk4 spotter, was at the 1mile target. If I had to give it one complaint, it would be the controls are so close you will inadvertently grab the wrong one occasionally. Meaning, trying to focus and grabbing the power ring instead. Thanks for watching and have a great week.
@@XRING Thanks much for the update. I am building a 6.5 Creedmoor (keeping track of you, pops, and kotaboy project). My goal is 500 for now. Then out to 1000, then out to a mile.
Dave Wilburn Thanks for watching all the different channels Dave! As long as you have a decent rifle, scope and Strelok or the Kestrel you should not have any issues achieving your goal.
@@XRING Thanks for the review, you sold me on this spotter. Been looking for a spotter with a retical, FFP and HD glass for under 1k for a long time. price seems to good to be true...
I have both and they both have their place. The Bushnell is still half the price and has a 1 focal plane reticle. The Vortex glass is exceptional and the Bushnell is not even close in clarity or light gathering. The Bushnell is compact and the Vortex is huge and heavy. You have to buy the eyepiece if you want a reticle on the Vortex. They are both good for what their intended purpose might be. I am going to give the overall win to the Vortex. 👍🏼
@XRING thanks for the reply. I love your channel. I may have to pick up the vortex. Little extra bulk out hunting won't that much. Also will probably see alot of range use too. Out to 1200 for my bigger stuff and 500 with my .22 (.22 is rough on a good day lol)
My pleasure and thank you for watching the channel. You will definitely like the Vortex better especially for the .22 and shooting out to 1200. It is a great value for the money. 👍🏼
Hello Nathan. I am NOT paid to endorse. The Bushnell I have is great for mirage even side by side with my Mark 4. However, I got this when they first came out and the quality on them now has diminished greatly. I had about 10 viewers purchase them within the last few months and about 1/2 of them had to go back for off center reticles and what was described as spots on the glass. Bushnell did replace them but I don’t know if I can recommend this spotting scope any longer. The ones who got good ones are very happy with them. Thanks for commenting.
Will not ever purchase Bushnell again! Sent scope back for repair and have not received it 2 years later! Went through A complete loss due to a fire of other optics from Vortex and have had them replaced completely within 2 weeks. Bushnell SUCKS!!!!!!!

Thanks Ondra. Still using mine with zero issues.

Eric B. Thanks Eric! I agree that they are hard to beat for their price point.
Bushnell really stepped up their game in recent years.

Now we are talking. Keep them coming xring
I am trying!
Great video and Bushnell.
For the features it is hard to beat. Thanks.
Good review buddy and this time you included the price.
YES SIR! I made it a point to remember to add the price this time around. Thanks
What size is that tripod mount on the bottom ?
Thanks for the info, I know nothing about spotting scopes. I would like to get something to see how far off I am on my 100yd targets.
A spotting scope makes life much easier and saves a lot of time. It is almost essential for any long range shooting.

@@XRINGhow's that review coming along? Really keen to see these three spotting scopes compared.

Any idea how this compares to the Nitro? And it's the forge a huge step up in any way? Thanks
Could you take a pic of the reticle while viewing something outside
Would like to see that
These things are currently selling for 375.00 on amazon and optics planet, I just picked one up.
john vagabond Great spotter for sure! Might have to pick up another.

john vagabond I know, but it’s not. They are solid but can be tough to find.
Looks like a good value.
It really is for the money. I still use this one quite a bit.

Nice review.
Thanks Uncle Dan! I appreciate the support.
What would you say is the limitation on this spotting scope in terms of seeing holes (6.5cr) on paper? 200, 300, 600 yards?
I have no issues seeing 6.5 Creedmoor holes on paper at 500. Haven’t tried it at 600. It is a great spotting scope for the money.
On your scope, does the diopter adjustment ring return to zero after turn it to adjust the reticle focus?
Could you see POI @ 600 yards clearly?
Great review Buddy
Thank you sir....I am starting to get the hang of this video stuff.
Nice review as good info....Good stuff...
Thank Scott.
Looks nice!
It even works better than it looks. :-)
Great review.
How does it do for seeing mirage next to mark 4 on days when mirage may be difficult to see. Are you paid to endorse?

X-RING really appreciate your honesty
Hi Ray - is this still worth getting in 2023?
I just did a video review a few weeks ago on spotting scopes. It still made the list.
Well done.
Got secondhand leupold mark 4 for 250 buck 😂
That is what you call winning !
Made in China?

Kai Blackout Wow, sorry for the fire. I am surprised they would not make it right. Thanks for the information.
