Katy feud actually ended in 2018; Taylor got a (literal) olive branch and nice apology from Katy in her dressing room, night 1 of the Reputation Tour and posted it to her IG. Because, Katy put out a record, and Taylor put her catalog back on Spotify the same day (so Perry's album sales and streams got blown out ). Also, some pretty clear references to Katy in the LWYMMD video. This was Taylor's way of telling people to stop talking about something from 2013.

Lover is a GREAT album!!! That is her (voice) in the background!
Lover is one of my top albums from her. Her voice sounded so rich and incredible during that time. It does now too, but there’s just something about the Lover album. It just didn’t get that much publicity because it came out RIGHT before COVID and lockdown. She had to cancel her “Lover Fest” tour because of it. It’s super upbeat and really “poppy” and positive (it’s when Joe and her had been together 3 years and were still going strong), so some people don’t like it as much because it’s different than what she usually writes. Plus, it came out immediately after Reputation, so there was a *stark* difference. But overall, I think it’s an amazing album. It’s also when she started directing her own music videos, which is why they’re so freaking good (The Man, Lover, You Need To Calm Down).
Bad Blood is about her feud with Katy. When Katy went to the Eras Tour she posted a video of Taylor singing Bad Blood and than turned the video to herself with a shocked expression. It’s on her Instagram with a roll of pics/videos with the caption “got to see an old friend shine tonight”. Very sweet they could reconnect.

I think you’ve probably hit most of the Lover songs that you’re going to like. A LOT of it is very bubblegum pop, but it’s still worth the full reaction!! Lover is one of those albums that I majorly skipped, but now that I’ve gotten to know her entire discography and the stories she’s telling, I appreciate Lover SO MUCH MORE! I definitely think that it’s important in your journey of knowing a well rounded Taylor

Lover is an awesome album! Taylor has a lot of haters who call themselves fans, but they aren’t really. Each of her albums, I have songs that I love and songs that I don’t relate to as much. If her haters would just admit that there are songs that they JUST DON’T RELATE TO, instead of saying they are bad songs simply because they don’t relate to them as much, we could all live in peace and harmony. Tay doesn’t write bad songs.
A lot of fans are divided on the Lover album. Some people say it’s her worst. I personally don’t agree at all. But everyone has different thoughts. I think Lover is FANTASTIC. I think it came at the right time and we couldn’t have gone from reputation to folklore. I like Lover was a fantastic palette cleanser and I personally love most if not all of the songs.

This song is called, “You Need to Calm Down.” There is a separate song and music video for the song “The Man” (but this isn’t The Man). I have the same taste in Taylor as you (with the exception of I actually like Dorothea 😊), and I think you might like about 50% of the Lover album.
I “cut” the lyrics to the sentence: “You need to calm down, you’re being too loud” on my phone. When I get into an argument with my husband, I play that soundclip 😂😂

lover was not well received partially bc of the singles that were chosen for particularly ME! was the first single at that time we didn’t know what the album would be called or the vibe really we just got a MV and we had to figure the rest out, ME! wasn’t really liked by a lot of people bc they thought it was childish and immature. imo lovers really good, not really a super lovey dovey album like it was advertised. it has a lot of anxiety in love undertones throughout the album, which taylor has now admitted a lot of songs were her in denial (archer, cornelia street, false god, etc) but it’s still really good. ME! is great it’s just really silly and taylor really enjoyed writing it (miss americana)

That was Ellen & Adam Lambert was doing her tattoo. LOL And yes, they had a 'beef' & this was to show the world they have made up. After Katy stole Taylor's dancers years ago, they had 'Bad Blood' after having mad love. They didn't speak for a couple years, then Katy sent Taylor a literal olive branch & a lovely apology note. All was forgiven & Katy attended one the Era's tour shows.

She doesn't write every bit of her songs. She has worked a lot with prolific songwriter Max Martin, and she does credit others for their contributions to the songs. Sometimes, they help with lyrics and sometimes they just help with melody...or both. But she does write all of her songs...but she also has help on a lot of them as well. Minus on Speak Now, which she famously wrote the entire album by herself.
