I see the struggle with the hose for the y-pipe. The question is: Is the stock hose the same size as the one Cobb provided for the Y-pipe? If so, why not just instruct people to just insert the y-pipe onto the stock one?
great video man.. I saw you were following the iag installation video, did the hoses connect to the same ports on the Cobb aos as they were instructed on the aig video or do they line up differently.. looking to tackle this project and any info is appreciated. Thanks
After watching some of your videos I'm surprised you don't have more Subscribers then you do. Good video's 👍 . I myself have a 21 sti too . Thinking of getting this AOS as well . Was this the competition serious?
@@xanny6481 just figuring out that Y fitting issue after that it was pretty simple. and the instructions are very step-by-step. Get some good pliers for those cheap black clamps they give you.
Man I went with the Iag one lol I really am not looking forward to potentially purchasing another Aos nor am I enthused about the installation process. I hope I can just leave the hoses in place and swap the unit 😂
Cobb and IAG collaberated on the V3 and both are basically the same except the Cobb runs about $100 more from what I can tell. Is there some additional beni for the Cobb?
@@Bumblebeewrx ahhhh, so extra hundo for the sticker....well in all fairness it probably cost a lot of money to get the state bureaucrats to sign off in it.
I really like the methodical way you present your videos with lots of slow detailed shots of excalty what you are doing. Got you a new subscriber.
Awesome, thank you!
Incredible video quality for such a small channel very good video sir
that means a lot. thank you
A great video. For your first time thats impressive. Tool control doing maintenance on anything is a must. Goid job. On to the next 😊
Garage goals 🙌🏼
Thank you for the tip (re: the stock Y pipe)!
Any time!

yeah its the same size. but the problem is the clamp you pre-install, makes it impossible to get it on. but the factory went on with out a problem

Which video did you watch? I can't seem to find any how to install videos for the Cobb AOS
It was the one from IAG

You can reuse the same hoses. just swap out the can. Ive see another UA-camr recently do it. My Cobb AOS came with IAG branded hoses

Was there a plug left unplugged near the turbo side?
No. everything was plugged in
In the end do you bleed out the air with the car running? Just installed mine, just Idk I’m noobie 😅
Yes I did. Just cracked it open a tiny bit and coolant came right out.
@@DonteTidwell cool thank you good sir
Does the coolant level drop after installing this since you’re adding extra capacity into the coolant system?
yea it did. its right at the "fill" line on the overflow tank
Another great vid and another install that i do not look forward to 😅
its not so bad once I figured out the whole Y pcv fitting.
