I personally don’t think that locking up the products had anything to do with race. I believe that those specific products were constantly being stolen, and because of the loss of revenue; that would be reason enough to lock up those specific products. I’ve walked into many stores where the body wash was locked up, the deodorant was locked up, skincare LOCKED UP. So no, I don’t believe it’s a racial issue. It’s a theft issue, and the products that are more likely to be stolen, are the products that are going to be locked up!! Is it an inconvenience for many of us that don’t steal?! YES, but I understand. There’s been many times i go shopping for a specific product, and the shelves are completely clear of it (obviously stolen), so honestly it’s just a lose/lose situation.
