Now they'll put the new meter console to the Himalayan which they have delivered to you previously & deliver it to new customer. It would be better if u could have revealed the chassis number, so that other customer couldn't get scammed.
Nowadays I also experienced these kind of mistakes while delivering the new motorcycles by RE dealerships. Especially with Himalayan 450s. Damaged tanks, bent handlebars and bent exhausts.
We must check all these while taking delivery... I used to even check Tyre company and choose the good one, as bike companies are usually tied up with many tyre manufacturers for same brand of motorcycles..

Same thing was happend for my friend with New Royal Enfield Classic 350! The R.E. dealer was mistakely swapped & delivered both new bikes for different owners, the delivery of both bikes was on the same day. My friend and another owner had ridden their bike around 600kms, later when my friend went for 1st service with a new bike, showroom informed about their mistake happend and then the other owner & my friend sadly has to exchange their new bikes with themselves. So this is really very irresponsible with some R.E. dealers.

Here insurance, RTO receipt everything was matching but the delivered vehicle was wrong, The right vehicle which matched the chassis number was still at the showroom. So, it seems like we only need to carry the checklist before taking the delivery of the vehicle.

I took the same bike for delivery yesterday and the bike had lot of scratches I rejected 2 bikes, and finally told ok for the 3rd bike, luckily the registration details were not sent to RTO so was able to chose a different bike

When they got the RTO documents and insurance documents before delivery, then those showroom guys realised and they were saying they will sort out in a week 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ All this hungama in Amba Bajaj (GB palya branch), Bangalore. To all, Please ignore this branch while booking.
