that’s what I love about lost planet 1 and 2 ,it was like an anime but an action film at the same time, honestly the the last 2 games stripped away its personality.
Good memories from this game, it’s dialogue really is a product of its time but for a game that’s coming up on almost a decade and a half years after launch it looks good.
The second Green Eye appeared when I had to fight him I was rubbing my hands together and saying “Alright, sweet revenge, bring it on you big F**k, for....whatever Wayne’s dad’s name was again”, then he killed me a lot more times than the beginning introduction, which pissed me off even more
"My father is dead" - No emotion "I was frozen for 30 years" - No emotion "I'm a Japanese dude with a white first and last name." - Maybe I had a white mom "Let's go." - You guys stay and I do all the work. Yeah, it's a Capcom game
It's unique that the game forces you to speed-run I've run out of the T-ENG while playing, if you run out of it, AS FAR AS I REMEMBER, you died INSTANTLY
It was stated by Rick that "You gotta remember how to pilot a VS, at least it beats walking" when you start Mission 1. It's not that they _Don't_ expect him to pilot a VS, they don't expect Wayne to pilot it _So Well._

They , save all humans on EDN3 , and all Akrids(well , that one wasnt) They strat the terraforming of the planet But they put humankind to the energy crysis and put them all back in "dead" Earth....well , we cant say The Wayne Team is **heroes** , but they not bad boiz at all.
There's heavy implication that Joe is the Leader of Ex-NeVec in LP2, via the Speech he made (He mentions that he originally believed in Nevec's false goal to bring order to EDN III), and he's the only Nevec trooper who wears white, which is what Joe wears... And if Joe is still alive in LP2, which is set ten years after Lost Planet extreme conditions... That may imply Wayne and Luka survived to LP2... And considering the Waysiders in LP2 had a Home Base, they likely lead the Waysiders (Quite a Few Waysider skins resemble Wayne, and the Femme Fatale Waysider strongly resembles Luka). Adding to that? The Harmonizers in Lost planet 2 heavily resemble the Harmonizer used by Wayne... Meaning after Lost Planet Extreme Conditions, Wayne got it with Luka, and later on, mass produced the Harmonizer Wayne uses. Wouldn't surprise me if he was the one who caught Camelot Leader in the ending. (The Waysider who said "I snatched you out of the Sky before you hit the Ground.), and if not, he's likely one of the Waysiders overlooking the Over-G Pool (A Waysider that heavily resembles Wayne can be seen sitting down in the sand as the sun rises).
Ahhh this game. When asked to give a synopsis on what the game is about I responded with: "Ok so you're on a planet colder than Karen's heart and to keep yourself warm you run around drinking Alien Butt Juice."
Thanks. I tried playing through this just now but I only made it 2 missions before I was just done with the gameplay. I'd never played it before so no nostalgia keeping me in it.
The first missions really aren't all that interesting and a lot of people just stop at the third one because it's quite hard if you don't know how to roll ( crouch, move and jump at the same time ) . After that though, things really start picking up. There's brutal VS on VS combat, hordes of dangerous Akrid that you can take apart piece by piece, enemy infighting, crazy bosses and enough thermal energy that you'll rarely ever have to worry about running out unless you're careless.
I wasn't having too much trouble with it. I was just so bored of the combat so I was happy to be able to just check out the story. EDIT: I kind of found out after the fact that you can just ignore a lot of the enemies and rush the exit in a lot of places. I probably would've finished it if I knew that.

I know it's late, but basicly *Spoiler alert* The clones are made from the DNA of Ivan Solotov who is Yuri Solotovs father, Ivan Solotov was a NEVEC employee, and led Gale Holden into a NEVEC trap, although its then discovered that Ivan Solotov was manipulated into luring Gale Holden into the NEVEC trap, likely by Deniss Isenberg(Head of the Frontier Project) then Ivan Solotov appeared to have rebelled against NEVEC, and i guess was killed, it appears they made the Clones to use them as elite operatives while thinning out their numbers in case they rebel against NEVEC like the original Ivan Solotov, hopefully this explained it all.

I don't think Wayne's arm is prosthetic. It's just that the synchronizer is surgically attached to his forearm (and linked to his nervous system, apparently).
The first cutscene is phenomenal in showcasing Humanity's struggle against the Akrid: high tension, high stakes, and great arctic backdrop to fight in. And the remaining cutscenes are stupid anime bullshit.... Go team NEVIC!

Just finished lost planet 3, finally. (i was reluctant to picking it up, but steam sales magic) I wonder though, about the ending. How gale changed over time and where wayna came from makes sense, but the ending of lost planet 3 really focuses on Diana, the grand daughter of jim. She, however, never was a part of lost planet 1/2, was she? Seems weird that the ending puts so much focus on her if she has no relevance whatsoever.

I thought this was some American action game, but it's just anime trash. A female character who constantly calls to the protagonist. A protagonist being given an unexplained injection of MacGuffin substance. The villain was actually helping people, but for some reason is called insane, even though his plan works out fine. There're no resources or power sources to live off. Generally, just a weak plot, with little consistency, character development, and even less immersion.
Oh, and let's not forget how the enemy soldier in a mech can't shoot the slow protagonist, even at point blank range. Also!! The protagonists are just rebels. It's a hostile planet, with a military rule cause Giant Enemy Bugs!! They have no right to complain and rebel! They're actually traitors, who lost their right to the planet when they abandoned the only group of people with the resources to protect humans, and terraform the land.

I understand your skepticism, but there is a lot of anime I do like! I grew up on anime. But after years of watching it I can recognize a Terrible plot. Most animes sell themselves on visuals, and stick closely to cliches. It's boring and doesn't promote thinking. Also the dialogue is usually cringey garbage. :(
this game is so terrible, with all the tech they have they rely on harvesting energy from creatures when a fusion power plant would be more then enough. terrible cold weather exposure gear. machine guns when they should have laser or gauss weapons. the plot is so bad and predictable. good editing though.

What would you have preferred a mindless invincible muscular guy running around killing everything, has sex with women, blows shit up, then happily ever after, sounds like all american action movies
I understand your skepticism, but there is a lot of anime I do like! I grew up on anime.
But after years of watching it I can recognize a Terrible plot.
Most animes sell themselves on visuals, and stick closely to cliches.
It's boring and doesn't promote thinking.
Also the dialogue is usually cringey garbage. :(
Its not trash, it sounds more or less like you just didn't play the game
this game is so terrible, with all the tech they have they rely on harvesting energy from creatures when a fusion power plant would be more then enough. terrible cold weather exposure gear. machine guns when they should have laser or gauss weapons. the plot is so bad and predictable.

kerc Chan they do have laser weapons. It’s just less common than projectile based firearms in this universe
