  • Extruder gear kept clogging. So I've done some investigation and how to prevent it.
I've also reduced retraction speed to 35mm/s and distance to 3mm for the meantime as I wait for new fittings to arrive and continue printing.

How else can you deal with the problem? I’m having this issue but it has nothing to do with that bolt in the back!

Try re-aligning the gears and the bracket. Also, make sure the nozzle to bed clearance is ok. Try increasing temp also. After all this, I found my fix was to print a clamp.

    Such a facepalm video...
So much wrong in the video starting with the disassembling... no need to unscrew the arm...
Just one proper cleaning and PROPER reassembling would had solved the issue...
Or you are still using the PTFE Tubes and fittings that came with the printer (fake capricorn and weak fits)

Do you mean the original capricorn tubing that came with the machine is fake? I even used a piece for the hotend fix. Yes, I tried realigning the gears. I also bought another set of original tubing from creality as well. The fitting was definitely weak and can't be used twice. Kept the 3d printed clamp on as it's been doing it's job well. Did you notice me drilling the bracket? As there was some quality issue explained in the vid.

@@webslinger2011 Yes, fake or oldest versions of second grade goods they had... usually original capricorn xs tubes have no problems with deformations up to ~280-300° and melting point of ~320° i think.

Have you guys come up with any issues printing with PETG on the CR10s Pro V2? I've tried so many different settings, but I keep getting a snag in this same area. I've fixed some issues by using Luke's hotend fix, but I'm still getting kinked snags/clogs at the gear. I printed a tapered screw compression fitting that works better than a screwed-together clamp. Just cannot figure it out. I'm thinking this printer has issues printing PETG with normal retraction settings. I've gotten my retraction speed down to 20mm/s on Simplify3D and a 2mm distance. Still have problems.

Had it set to 4mm max retraction 35mm/s when it was stock. One of the screws was interfering with the tensioner arm that I had to drill part of the plate to get it to sit flush. Then re-aligned the plate and gears. Didn't have issues after that. Upgrading to micro swiss direct drive kit was the best choice I made.

@@rolfsteinmann4140 It was also a temperature aside from the alignment issue. I've looked around the forums and someone mentioned increasing the temperature. It's working fine now.
