Number of female farmer have higher than that of male farmers.
Existing farming types were highly dependent on mechanical or male labor because of high proportion of rice farming. but the proportion of women's labor is increasing as it has recently moved to field crops such as vegetables, fruit trees, and flowers.
For female farmers who have emerged as core rural workers, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Rural Development Administration select 19 types agricultural machinery for small, lightweight, automation and 10 types convenient equipment and protective gear for women's health and safety and distribute it.
We are also developing various convenient equipment such as planting, and harvesting machines of vegetables and fruit vegetables, as well as cultivation and management machines.
And we are expanding the distribution of female-friendly agricultural machinery through agricultural machinery rental businesses center and is driving for the mechanization of cultivation process for 10 major crops.
Female farmers used to remain at the level of agricultural assistants. now more and more female farmers is acquiring certificates in the agricultural machinery sector are now emerging as key labor force in this field.
