If you were referring to me I wasn't trying to be misleading in my unboxing video. But after watching your video I realized that maby my video should have compared the Moin with some other cameras to show lack of dynamic range because I don't think that is something they will fix in firmware updates. So I just released a follow up comparison video. You did a good job with this video by the way. Like you said your reputation is way more important then having Moza like your review or not.
It’s worth noting that their shipping delays are awful, terrible... and it’s been suggested they are prioritizing non-discounted orders. That’s how backed up they are. So much so, at the first hint of dissatisfaction they’ll try to cancel (I can attest to that personally...). So a wait and see might not be a bad choice at the release of this.

Such an honest review! I'm not holding anything against Moza, its just that I'm hoping it could really compete with the likes of DJI Pocket 2. There's nothing consumers like better than a great competition in the market!

Either you got a dud right from the start or the other was simply glossing over and not really reviewing the product. If Moza has watched this video I hope they are sending over another unit ASAP!
Great video mate! It's very obvious that you wanted to like this camera. But once the rubber hit the road it was clear that it just wasn't up to par. Thank you for being up-front about that. I REALLY want one of these small gimbaled pocket cameras to work. I have a specific need for one in the video that I shoot. But even in the DJI 2 footage that I've seen, the critical focus on the subject at close range is always off - or at the very best, soft. I'm still waiting for a company to come out with a product or firmware upgrade to address that. The first one who does will be getting an order from me. Thanks again for your straight-up review!
Just to play devil’s advocate here... the camera has the features of the Pocket 2 *only* if you include the creator’s combo. Phone connect, wide angle, etc. And that ignores the better features such as the flip screen, which is genius. Using a discount code, the camera’s actually $270 - which the Pk2 +creator combo is $500. Almost half the price. And like you said, since MOST things can be firmware corrected, it seems clear the Moin is a much better deal. I’m sure at the lower price point they’ll fix these things and then give DJI some stress as the PK2 has only been out for so many months. Just my $.02. I bought a Moin today for this reason. But I appreciated your video nonetheless. Thank you!

Really good review man and so grateful you have some integrity and told it like it is. Hopefully Moza will see this and make updates to the firmware and add some of the missing features. It would be a real shame for them to blacklist you for being absolutely honest with them. If I was working with a company I'd be requesting as much feedback from you as possible!
I just got a DJI Osmo Pocket for $149 used at a camera store. I need a stealth camera because I do Dogs in Pubs videos. The flip out screen is OK for some people but not for me. I also like the narrowed field of view of the Osmo Pocket.

Excellent review. Was really leaning towards this as many other reviews failed to mention these flaws. Looks like I'm back at the drawing table debating between pocket 2 and fimi palm 2.
Honesty is always the way to go! You don't want to recommend products that are going to make people's lives harder. PLUS if a brand is good, they will take on the feedback as constructive criticism and make it better.

Respect for being honest, my man! Everything that can be fixed with firmware is nice and all, but like 'fix it in post,' it should have been fixed before it is sold. I would love to use the Slypod or Slypod pro though, looks amazing! In comparison this looks like, sadly, a piece of copied crap. If you can make unique and epic products like the slypod, why are you spending R&D on crap like this?

instago 2 is like a body camera, easy mounting and attachment options anywhere. it would lose in low light to pocket 1 or 2. instago 2 is like a smaller gopro. like gopro session.
Love it thank you for doing this I saw the videos you were referring to and I can tell from their tone of voice this camera was not good and they were doing their best to make it sound good ‘young’ I bet the person who reached out to you for this product review is fired LOL no but thank you for being honest. I have the Moza Aircross 2 and it keeps tilting slightly, I've reset multiple times, I've updated the software, I've manually adjusted the settings to make it tilt the opposite direction to compensate and it still tilts the same direction when I sit the gimbal down on the tripod after shooting smh
As a viewer who can read chinese, that calibration result says: calibration overtime, which means calibration failed. There is something wrong with the calibration feature.

it seems the file structure is based on time of the day. so 09 (9am), 37(37minute), 35(35 seconds) 😂. generally i structure things based on date created. it seems they focused on the flippy screen thats all ive seen them and other reviewers highlight. the sensor is small and smaller aperture, pocket 1 would beat this in low light and pocket 1 is cheaper. this is supposed to be at around $200 then it can be convincing for people. at this current price, flippy screen isnt going to convince anyone who does his research. i expected them to go big on the sensor at least give dji a run, not go back on everything. not impressed with moza moin. but the flippy screen concept is a cool concept. for sure. but i personally dont like flippy screen, it just made the product bigger. and i dont need to watch the screen consistently. but i can see the flippy screen being good for others.

Holding on to my dollary doos to see if this would be a worthy contender for Osmo 2, come firmware update. But the dynamic range already such a bummer.
i do believe in DJI more than others small pocket camera be like..however DJI dont wanna listen to us as a end users... i need built in wifi..not other accesories to put on...next pocket 3 make sure u add this DJI...
Just wondering, could this maybe a test product and not ready for primetime? Or did you just bought this? This spells pre-baked and shouldn’t be sold to anyone until it’s actually ready.
I don't mean to offense you but I think you are a little bit too critical on this especially Moza sent this to you prior to the official release, so the product you receive was kinda engineering test sample. This means some things might not even be fully functional on the camera yet and one of the goal to invite you test it out prior to official release was to help Moza find out the problems earlier so they can do some firmware updates ASAP. You might be right, Moza is new to camera area and currently no way to compete DJI or other competitors yet, but your video will scare 99% of people who are willing to try this product away and I don't believe the camera is that bad. Again, I don't wanna judge who is right who is wrong, it is only my "two cents".
I'm assuming you work for the company judging by the comment? I'm sorry, I don't mean to be harsh but I cannot recommend a product that is sold almost the same price as the market leaders. I need to protect us consumers of the product as I have bought products myself after youtuber recommending and it NOT being the quality the said it was. I will not sacrifice my integrity for a product that I did not get paid to review. No company sees my review before it's released. No company will tell me what I need to say.
the more companies that compete with DJI the better for us consumers but this is a joke! WTF were they thinking? that's just a really bad business decision to send these out for reviews when they have so many flaws. The side monitor is an awesome concept for object tracking but if the image quality is crap no one is going to buy that. When is someone going to come out with a 1inch sensor gimbal, and not like an rx0 with a f4 lens, give us a f1.8 lens with sony quality pdaf and an image quality on par with a ZV-1...maybe sony should start making gimbals! Im looking forward to "the one" launch tomorrow!
Moza customer support is trash. Used to buy gimbals from them and when I had an issue with a dead on arrival unit or one gimbal that suddenly stopped working they ghosted me and stop replying to emails and gave me huge run arounds when calling their number. Dji support has been great!

but the flippy screen concept is a cool concept. for sure. but i personally dont like flippy screen, it just made the product bigger. and i dont need to watch the screen consistently. but i can see the flippy screen being good for others.

A big issue with these styles of camera is that they don't allow for filters. If nothing else I need a decent polarizing filter.
the pocket 2 does great for filters. this just wont have any as third party companies wont make them any time soon or if at all

pocket 1 was on amazon for $190. no need to buy used, the person might have abused the gimbal.

The sensor is just too small compared to the pocket 2. If it was 1" then that would be a big upgrade.
Just wondering, could this maybe a test product and not ready for primetime? Or did you just bought this? This spells pre-baked and shouldn’t be sold to anyone until it’s actually ready.

I don't mean to offense you but I think you are a little bit too critical on this especially Moza sent this to you prior to the official release, so the product you receive was kinda engineering test sample. This means some things might not even be fully functional on the camera yet and one of the goal to invite you test it out prior to official release was to help Moza find out the problems earlier so they can do some firmware updates ASAP. You might be right, Moza is new to camera area and currently no way to compete DJI or other competitors yet, but your video will scare 99% of people who are willing to try this product away and I don't believe the camera is that bad. Again, I don't wanna judge who is right who is wrong, it is only my "two cents".
I'm assuming you work for the company judging by the comment? I'm sorry, I don't mean to be harsh but I cannot recommend a product that is sold almost the same price as the market leaders. I need to protect us consumers of the product as I have bought products myself after youtuber recommending and it NOT being the quality the said it was. I will not sacrifice my integrity for a product that I did not get paid to review. No company sees my review before it's released. No company will tell me what I need to say.
But the footage you compared looked waaay better on the moza 🤔

the more companies that compete with DJI the better for us consumers but this is a joke! WTF were they thinking? that's just a really bad business decision to send these out for reviews when they have so many flaws. The side monitor is an awesome concept for object tracking but if the image quality is crap no one is going to buy that. When is someone going to come out with a 1inch sensor gimbal, and not like an rx0 with a f4 lens, give us a f1.8 lens with sony quality pdaf and an image quality on par with a ZV-1...maybe sony should start making gimbals! Im looking forward to "the one" launch tomorrow!

Moza customer support is trash. Used to buy gimbals from them and when I had an issue with a dead on arrival unit or one gimbal that suddenly stopped working they ghosted me and stop replying to emails and gave me huge run arounds when calling their number. Dji support has been great!
