- Remember Necronomidol from Episode 248? They're not really around any more, but my two favorites from that group both dropped solo albums this year, and that's what this episode's about!

Himari was at Anime Expo this year. Kind of wish I went just to meet her and see her perform. Love these ladies.
I have discovered so good bands trough this channel. Bless you sir
I need to listen to more stuff like this. Was wanting to get into ever since I started watching you! Great stuff man.
Weebshits back on the menu boys!
That action figure comment killed me, totally agree lol
I was in Japan for most of last year and first came across Sari at a solo show she was playing with another artist I know, and also happened to see Himari open for Coaltar of the Deepers and Astrobrite, and from there got into Necronomidol.
After that I also happened to meet Sari at a bar (this was not long before she went over to Europe), and she was really nice in person!
Happy to have met her and enjoyed her music
Hell yeah! Always up for some Necronomidol solo projects. Saw Himari this year in Cologne and it was a blast. Still hoping to catch Sari live while she's in Europe.
Pretty damn cool, pretty damn nice!
Yes, amazing dude. Still my favorite content on your channel. Have you heard 14th generation toilet Hanako-san? She makes me think if Gauze went kawaii idol.
Never actually heard of this til now, but it seems pretty cool. Those are some gnarly vocals.
Ever thought of doing an episode on early Aeternus?
Actually, yes! I love the first album the most but I'd say their first three are all pretty cool.
Sari is great, but personally I'm totally camp Himari, she's totally my style.
Kind of funny you used that severe torture song at the beginning. I've been listening to that CD in my car all week
It's a banger.
Blood Stain Child are good. Melodic and intense.
Really cool episode! It’s a really interesting change of pace when you talk about different genres of music, especially considering I know Jack-shit any this stuff. But with regards to my regular questions, have you ever heard Miasma from Austria? I got super hooked on them a little while ago because they had such great hooks, and it feels like they get so much less attention than they deserve (even though that sentence has become an annoying cliche if anything). Keep up the great work, been binging the Hate Bus a lot during school lately!
Miasma rocks! I actually preordered the reissue of their discography when it came out years back and got a bunch of stickers that I put on the coffee thermos I take to work every day. I probably should cover them some day.
The spider gets me, also the hair
The spider really completes the look
Random Finn here, again.. Have you ever heard Xantotol? No, it's not an laundry detergent or ssri-drug, despite the name. Really awesome and obscure black metal with female vocals from Poland. Maybe worth taking a look, episode or part of an episode?
Duuuuude that's nuts, I actually only got into them very recently because Ravendark's Monarchal Canticle covered them. I was pretty surprised that I hadn't heard of them before, especially given how old school they were. I was actually thinking of doing an episode on them, Pandemonium, Holy Death, and Sauron since they're all Polish bands from around the same time playing doomier stuff as opposed to the Graveland style. I might also be working on one for Profane Creation, Amen Corner, Mystifier, and Murder Rape, kind of like the same idea but for Brazil.
Sounds like you got some kind of Baron records/Random Polish scene video coming up!@@radiofreeinnsmouth1337
Balls. That is all
From underground demos from three previously unknown bands (for me) to something completely removed from my usual preferences in metal? Now I'm genuinely curious what to expect for the next episode. Hell, quite the whiplash to go from BDM from my neck of the woods (Severe Torture) to the subject of today. I would be lying if this wasn't what I tend to be familiar with, but your descriptions did feed my morbid curiosity. If not for the entertaining sentiment of hearing you 'subtly' gush over Japanese ̶w̶e̶n̶c̶h̶e̶s̶ ladies (7:55 rip mate). Jolly jest aside, fingers crossed that it might even cheer me up in similar fashion to an particular hack fraud witnessing the suffering of the elderly (0:43).
2:19 "I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favorite metal channel on the Citadel"
11:06 + 10:17 + 4:17 nostalgia (for simpler times)
11:28 gnarly kick dude
12:58 existential Werner Herzog samples are genuine unintentional comedy gold (along with David Lynch rants)
18:45 my man is even up-to-date with what the youth are into these days
Out of morbid curiosity, got a whole lot of band releases that I'm curious for your thoughts about:
- Psychotic Waltz - A Social Grace
- Dark Quarterer - Dark Quarterer
- Grotesque - Incantation
- Iniquity - Serenadium (plus discography)
- Anata - The Infernal Depths of Hatred (plus discography) (Bonus: NEW ANATA ANNOUNCED - comeback since The Conductor's Departure back in 2006)
- S.V.E.S.T. - Urfaust
- Mitochondrion - Archaeaeon
- Ved Buens Ende..... - Written in Waters
Respect for the never-ending grind & hails to the niche king!
(long overdue comment as a wishful push for the algorithm)
Dark Quarterer's definitely a baaaaanger as the kids say. That S.V.E.S.T. album is really cool but it's been a while since I listened to it. Grotesque is obviously amazing. Anaya I remember liking but it's been a while. Iniquity rules, and I also really like their side band Swollen that only did the one demo. Psychotic Waltz I know the name but have yet to listen. Ved Buens Ende is cool but I've never been a huge fan; I like the same group of musicians' stuff with Dødheimsgard and Aura Noir more. Mitochondrion I THINK I enjoyed but I only know them from their split with Gyibaaw, and I liked Gyibaaw more.
Next episode actually goes up later tonight, and it'll be very whiplash-inducing.
Thoughts on the new Afterbirth record? Been listening to it ever since it came out on Friday. Really dig it a lot
For some reason I thought it was out on the 23rd, thanks for reminding me
Love both of these albums. Pedant's Corner: the style of bass on Milky Way is from Drill, a genre of Hip Hop you would no doubt enjoy.
Yeah I thought it might have been that or trap or something, I'm not really familiar with much of that stuff.
Yeah I was joking about enjoying that stuff. Hope a review of Jihyo's album with JFN thumbnails is coming soon!@@radiofreeinnsmouth1337
Careful now kids, the anime pipeline is real
One day you enjoy an anime intro song. Next thing you know you're free basing Japanese content on an old phone with a cracked screen in a random parking lot
Baise ma hache episode ?
Soooo Takanaka RFI to follow at a later date? :)
haha I'd be down for that but I don't think people would watch
Sari actually busts out that laughing drum thing on Mekakushi
Hey, man. Is there any news about BLFC?
You should definitely dig into the works of Maxime Taccardi, start with his project K.F.R
