seen Bob exactly 50 times, wish it was 500. So happy I spent so much of my
time getting into Dylan and going to see him all around the country. The best
times of my life.

The poetry in his lyrics is so beautiful. I'm not sure what I enjoy the most, the movie or the soundtrack, but i guess it's both.
Definitely. And I particularly appreciated at the time to discover, on buying the album, Dylan had insisted to dedicate it explicitly to Sam Peckinpah. Everyone gave their very best on that most remarkable film.

Wonderfully inspired soundtrack for a terrific movie ... Beans, Spinach, Beef Stew, Beans ... Ah the memories, thank you Mr. Dylan for all the enjoyment over so many years ... keep on rollin'.
One of my favorite scenes in one of favorite movies. Great cast, director, story and soundtrack. I just watched The Left Handed Gun with Paul Newman (1958).. written by Gore Vidal, a fact which i did not know. Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid follows the story pretty close. Love the scene with Bob Dylan reading the labels. Can't say enough about the great cast, top to bottom.

Very underrated song. Great western lyrics, terrific delivery. Billy 1, 4, and 7 make up a great little trio but - although I like the slower, deeper delivery of Billy 7 - Billy 4 is easily the "core" version. Terrific stuff.

After listening to Dylan for 20 years I always come back to songs from this era, 67-73. His voice was so good at that time.

I love this track. I play it a lot on my acoustic. It sounds pretty good. Bunkhouse Theme is beautiful. I wish I could play that, but I'm not a fingerpicking guitarist. Billy#4 and Bunkhouse Theme are my 2 favourite tracks on this great underrated and under appreciated album. It's a great listen from beginning to end. 👍

Playing with thoughts; Bob was originally planned to be Billy the Kid, but Sam Peckinpah changed his mind and gave the role to Kris Kristofferson. Bob got to make the music instead. What if Bob would have played Billy? Maybe Kris would have made the music. In that case, we wouldn't have Knocking On Heavens Door today.
Wow, I never knew that, but there was a discussion on the movie on Facebook, I said Bob Dylan should have played Billy, Kris for me was badly cast as the young outlaw, I've read a lot about that Lincoln County Wars and Billy The Kid, it was a great movie, maybe Jack Nicholson or even De Niro based on his Mean Streets character was closer to Billy than Kristofferson.

I use to be young on my grammys farm. Then I left for the west. Still don't mean any harm. Don't care what other people do or say. If the devil's still in them because they refused Holy Spirit, well that is their own choice to just take it that way. As for me, I can't allow myself to lay down that way.
