I remember watching this when it first aired back in 1980 and I've never forgotten it! I never thought I'd see it again. THANK YOU for posting it! Two of the best in country music - Cash and Tom T.
Tom T Hall bought Johnny Cash's limo in the early 1980's. Tom was very proud of the fact that it had been Johnny's, and that it was the 'longest black limo in the country'. There are pics of that car parked in front of Fox Hollow in some old publicity photos.
@albinorhinofish In 1976 Johnny Cash and Shel Silverstein wrote a song called "Let There Be Country". It's not about Tom T. Hall perse, but about a number of different artists that he admired and respected. He starts the song out mentioning Tom T. Hall.
Two of my fav country singers. Johnny Cash and Tom T Hall.
Two of the best storytellers in the music industry. I just found out we lost Tom T Hall in August he will be missed deeply 😪
Suicide at 85 years old apparently.
I've been a Tom T. Hall fan since the late 1960's, buying my first record album of his during that time.
Just the greatest singer/storyteller ever.
Another great song by Tom T Hall, rest in peace and thank you for your great music x
