- October 11th is National Coming Out Day! Everyone has their own journey and their own story. I remember the many years when I was in the closet and how I would turn to UA-cam for inspiration. I needed to hear the stories of the LGBTQ+ community. I was desperately looking for someone to tell it me it will be okay... that my story one day will have happy endings too. I also seeked representation. I wanted someone who was also a Gay Asian American to tell me I was not alone.

I know this is difficult for some people, many people will criticize and look down on it, but it will be better if you can face it together, I don't think there's anything wrong with this because it's all the same and only one word is love. I don't see any difference in any love in sight. I love hearing your stories, sometimes watching your videos makes me smile to myself. You're right, sometimes we have to be selfish for our own happiness, it's okay to be selfish right, I hope you're always happy, Kevin. forget all that has passed, and continue to be happy, 😊😊

Kevin, I literally watched this three times yesterday and was speechless. I had to wait a day later to come back to this video that is overflowing with your heart, your vulnerability, your wisdom, your soul. I know through this video you will help many people who are also struggling with their sexuality to have the courage to face the truth and find the timing that is right for them (which you are exactly right: not perfect timing) throughout this journey to become more of who they are meant to become. You touched my soul while sharing your vulnerability, your story, and your journey with us before and after coming out. You deserve all the love, Kevin

Wow! I felt that you still had some discomfort putting this together. Maybe I'm just seeing the struggle to find the right words. Whatever, it's true that coming out, no matter when and where, is not so easy. Especially for us who tend to show more masculine behaviors. In my case, no one even suspected, well maybe my sister did. Kevin, you are so right, find those whom you trust to love you, no matter what. Let them be your first coming out experience. It's like a practice run. And choose your time in a wise manner. There is no exact time for everyone to do it. Hey, thanks Kevin for putting this together for those struggling still. BTW, I used to be one of those cute nerdy guys. LOL We're a generation apart, though. And I'm happily (most of the time) married to a wonderful man.
