Daniel is out numbered. I think he’s doing pretty well for how much they are messing with him. He’s just human and suffering with a nasty illness at that, and it’s pretty clear both Louie and Armand had ulterior motives from the get go concerning this interview. Mainly Armand I think, but the fact Daniel can dish it as well as take it is a sign of strength. I hope he makes it out.
bruce was the vampire from s1 who violated her at the college Daniel was shaking not only of fear but he also has Parkinsons, so they could have flared his parkinsons up on purpose
Yeah Louis will be more prone to let his emotions get the better of him and cause him to lash out unlike Armand who is a older vampire and is in more control of his emotions
Won't say too much more ,but think about it so far Daniel has met in this long timeline multiple vampires and lived...Daniel's razor snark is pure flirtation ,watch who he directs it at
The creators said that Armand's relationship is a response to Lestat. I believe Armand isn't lying that he never harmed Louis but the definition of harm may be physical but mental ah that's tricky. Their relationship is to have a level of sweetness and caring that Louis seeks even in the books it states that Louis's love becomes a form of enslavement to Armand sooo idk who really holds the cards romantically.
I personally think that Armand and Daniel used to mess around in the past. It could have been a situation where Daniel wanted Armand to leave louis for him and it didnt work out. Watching them be affectionate is clearly a trigger for Daniel because Daniel is closeted. I feel like he had his first sexual experience with the both of them and they tossed him to the side. When he was looking at the pictures his hand started shaking. It's clear that Daniel is very bitter and most likely doesn't remember the encounter because when Louie calls him out about meeting at the gay bar Daniel had no recollection
@@niyah7139 Oh gosh, I was thinking the same thing...that something sexual happened between Louis and Daniel (a one nightstand) and Daniel wanted more and Louis rejected him for Armand, that's why he is bitter and disrespectful towards them. Also, he seems to hate Armand. Remember, Armand said to Daniel.."I will not save you from him again...like I did years ago".
Listen, if I read that letter, I would have just asked Claudia if she wants to stay in Paris, cause I'm going back to New Orleans to dig up my man. I guess I'm as toxic as Lestat 🤣🤣🤣
My arse would've been back in Romania with dem revenant vampires once I saw that Lestat founded the paris coven. Especially after seeing what they did to that poor girl on stage. As for Daniel, let's be fair he deserved what he got for pissing off two gay vampires. He's had it coming for a min imo.
Right this is the reason I don't like Daniel. Him making fun of Louis pain doesn't help him get answers it's just him being an ass people can miss me with the " Louis was wrong for using his powers" Daniel knows what he is capable of and constantly pokes the bear well the bear had time today!
@@lstarsabb That's why I like Daniel. He's allergic to bullshit, lol. Storytelling wise, it was really clever on the writers to have Daniel put a lampshade on on the more outlandish plot points of the story. He trolls, so we don't have to, lol.
@@TeamLexana I get that and when Louis needs to be called out I'm okay with it but half the time Daniel just adds his bitter takes and I get it, makes the scene more interesting but sometimes he just being an asshole just to be an asshole.
@@lstarsabb thank you. People piss me off acting like Daniel is this objective force. He's a character as flawed as others which is what makes him great. He was already an asshole in season 1 but at least he was calling out discrepancies sometimes. I beg someone to point out to me 1 discrepancy Daniel called out in season 2. There is none - besides claiming Louis doesn't love Armand but he has nothing to back it up right now. He's just been lashing out because he feels he has no control. Like especially in this episode 2 he said nothing of relevance and nothing that wasn't mean. But then Louis pokes him once and he cries. Cry again! 😂
So there's a theory that Alice is actually Armand which after seeing this episode I'm starting to believe it too. Book fans know Daniel and Armand have a past but the show hasn't really alluded to it aside from these flashbacks Daniel keeps having of Armand especially this episode. Armand told Daniel that Alice wanted to tell him yes in Paris but didn't trust him and it makes no sense for Armand to know that unless he was present to read her mind. Armand is a very powerful telepath, like can create illusions of places and people powerful telepath.
I don't think Armand could project an entire marriage and divorce into Daniels head. Daniel said that he and his wife got divorced in New York or New Jersey. I doubt Armand could manipulate Daniels mind that much.
You know what I learned this episode...Armand don't PLAY about Louie. Daniel had TO FAFO but Daniel is funny as an a-hole with that soap opera music 😂😂😂😂, the French vampires dragging them from afar as tacky gauche Americans 😂😂😂 I HOLLERED
Okay, here's what I don't understand... WHY WERE THEY SO BROKE?! I understand that back in NOLA Lestat was the wealthier one. But Louis' wealth was also nothing to sneeze at. In his own words he stated that with The Fairplay "I made a mountain of money, enough to retire and be buried like a Pharaoh." So what happened to all that cash that they had to resort to pickpocketing?
They likely couldn’t take much with them when they left not to mention that they went to Europe around world war 2 so they likely lost the little money that they had taken with them
Okay, so I was also curious about this. I think the money exists in a bank somewhere in NOLA; but Louis didn't establish a relationship with anyone there who could wire him the money, the way Roget did for Lestat, nor did he acquire enough letters of credit before they left. Claudia couldn't access that money for obvious reasons. Plus, they don't have any allies in NOLA to access it for them. They probably took what they could - and didn't expect finding "good" vampires to take 5 years- and ran out of that money. 🤷🏽♀️
Louis stopped working when he became a housewife. And it's also unclear how much money went to his mortal family, and if he invested the profits he made.
@@thevenusian1314i think he kept most of the money because remember when his sister had to move up north for her husband's job during the depression and he didn't have much of a business anymore, for awhile, because of the changing laws that pushed him out of the city center. So i think most of the money was either lestat's or he didn't have access to it
When Louis got back at Daniel that image you showed of Armand talking about the magazines were memories coming back from when they were previously together. That's relevant info 🤐 Such a great episode too, next week I'm gonna fckn die!!!
That may have been from Armand digging into Daniels mind in the previous interview. I don't buy the whole "Armand is Alice" theory. Yes, Armand is strong with mental manipulation, but is he strong enough to project an entire marriage, pregnancy, kids, and divorce into Daniels head? I don't think so.
It's hilarious because you can tell that Armand was only tolerating Daniel for this long for Louis sake but as soon as Louis started going in on Daniel then Armand was like oh shit let me in on this too this old man has been pressing me for too long and I want to put him in his place too 😂😂
"all he do is arts and crafts" 😅 Daniel was ticking me off ALL episode; crazy disrespectful. Not Bruce Wayne turning them in an alley after his family was shot, omg STAHP! XD
Louie and Armand are blood sucking psychopaths and Daniel was called in by them to do the interview. They are lying. He knows it. That’s the issue. He can be as sassy and snarky as he wants.
Anybody but me remember that Claudia called that boy she met when she was at that college when she ran away, Bruce? Or am I just hallucinating that name ?...are we ever going to know what happened to her when she was gone for those nights ,didnt Luis or Lestat do something to her diary pages after that night ??
In case you didn't pick up on it in season 1, the implication was that Bruce, the vampire she met at the college, sexually assaulted her. That's why the pages were torn out. Louis or Armand removed them so that it wouldn't be on record. I think Louis said something along the lines of 'I didn't want to exploit her experience.' (but I can't remember the exact line). So yeah, I don't think they plan to explicitly say anything else about those pages. We already know what happened.
I personally think that Armand and Daniel used to mess around in the past. It could have been a situation where Daniel wanted Armand to leave louis for him and it didnt work out. He’s shaking because of his Parkinson’s lol but I agree I do think they have a past. I don’t think he’s bitter as he clearly doesn’t remember any relationship but Daniel is pretty allergic to Armand and Louis’ bullshit and he can tell that that’s what they are giving him. The proof? Armand lied as Rashid for no reason, the two of them putting on this little play for no fucking reason. Daniel now has confirmed that not only are they not giving him a completely truthful account of the events as promised but they’ve outright lied to him in the past and are most likely currently doing so. He ain’t buying what they’re selling.
Its crazy how mad people are at Louis for fucking with Daniel. He was digging at Louis the entire time, laughing at his trauma etc. Louis just showed him how it feels. That said, fantastic episode
It’s about proportion. If Louis wanted to fuck with Daniel he could have played fair and used words, but he used his vampiric powers to aggravate his Parkinson’s disease (hence the hand trembling) and mess with his brain. It’s understandable that Louis would retaliate, but that response was inproportionate to what Daniel did.
