I know a lot of Reveluvs are LGBTQ+ or supporters and some aren't the biggest fans of the interviewer saying 'Generation' after Yeri said she likes girls. i don't know if the interviewer supports the LGBTQ+ or is part of it, but I do know that the country and target audience of that interview was Indonesia. Indonesia counts as one of the countries that aren't safe for LGBTQ+ people. so coming out on Indonesia's TV program would not be a good decision. If she was coming out, I assume some of the reasons the interviewer prevented her were, the group could possibly be banned from Indonesia television, get mass hate from anti LGBTQ+ Indonesians, and the TV program itself would also get hate (possibly be discontinued).

So I personally think that he was so excited and thought that Yeri was going to say Girls' Generation, that's why he looks smiling and kind of continuing Yeri's word. But when he realized that maybe Yeri was not gonna say that after Yeri being a bit awkward, he was a bit flustered and move his eyes to Wendy while laughing awkwardly.
