I like using 1/8th oz crappie head with a fluke jr. In like 6-8 foot of water Let it sink to the bottom then just lift your rod I thought I invented something but I guess not😭😂😂
as my late Dad used to say " Nothing new under the sun"...been doing this for years with various things, only now, it is only going to work with the new baits that they suggest?? LOL....
Looks like once in awhile Wiggins was casting it and vertical jigging it. I was wondering the same thing myself. I've never used the technique. Last couple days is the fish time I've heard of it
I catch alot of big bass on crappie jigs or crappie plastic when fishing is tough.A bigger bait does not necessarily mean bigger fish.Scale youe bait down youll be surprised what you catch.
Sean McEwen Agreed!, 2 of the 7 , 10lb (+) largemouths I've been fortunate to grave the live well of my z8, I caught on 6lb braid with a flouro ,10lb leader was while fishing the crappie prespawn at Toledo Bend in the far western side of Housen Bay on the original blakemore roadrunner crappie jigs while casting for stagged slab white crappie. It gets quite interesting and heart throbbing when you realize the stump you thought you were hung on begins to scream drag!
Should only be called a JIG, not a "rig".....just like a Ned rig should be called a Ned JIG! Rigs generally have beads, sinkers, possible multiple hooks, leaders, added wires, spinners, etc.
meh, I do the same thing with a swim senko. Not super special by any means. People just love to put names on things these days lol "California rig" "alabama rig" "drop shot" "neko rig" ect ect
Shakey Head Ned rig Tube jig All of these could be plastic with a jig head, but it’s how they fish the Damiki Rig that gives it the name and technique.

Love how different regions give names to an existing rig and name it their own, Dimiki, Ned, etc etc. This is what makes fishing fun

Up North on the heavily pressued lakes in Pennsylvania I have been using this exact rig to catch bass of all weights.

not just freshwater, try a crappie jig in salt water and you will be amazed at what you can catch..

Who makes that minnow bait zona was holding?
That is Charlie Brewers slider fishing rig, way over 30 years old.
A rose by any other name.....
Typical of bass fishing what's old is new again
for me i use a 1/8th ounce head and that works wonders for white bass

Damiki rig = Plastic with jig head
Shakey Head
Ned rig
Tube jig
